I agree Jess Feaster should def. be on the list, I just forgot him..lol....

But yes feaster does have legit 4.4 speed, and at tailback the only question with colleges will be his height.

Adonis Jackson also has legit 4.4 speed, and although not much taller, what works in his favor is he is a slot receiver, which are generally not all that tall on the next level.

Brad Barbin who who is about the same height as feaster and not as fast, has a 4.0 GPA and high SAT scores, which makes him a perfect fit for the IVY (Harvard, Cornell, Yale, etc.) and Patriot( Lehigh, Bucknell, Fordham, etc.) League teams.

Do Ivy League and Patriot League schools still NOT give out athletic scholarships?

Not 100% sure anymore, There may have been a rule change 2-3 years ago that I think allowed non-scholarship d-1aa schools to offer 15 full scholarships a year. What alot of those schools do is put there very best players on full ride, and then split alot of the remaining scholarshps up amongst a lot of players to try to give as much financial help possible. I also know, with all of the filthy rich alumni from those schools, players get above avereage help with financial aid and grant money from the alumni.

Guru also correct, many of the pat league schools give "grants" to student athletes. Yet again many of the athletes at the Pat schools are on some kind of scholorship for their grades and so forth.

Recruiting Guru:

I'm the biggest J-town fan around, and I have to admit your stretching very far to consider Adonis Jackson or Demetrius Young as D1 or D1AA players. They are both nice hs players, but thats the extent of it.

The only people in the LHAC that I think are legit D1 prospects are the two you guarenteed: Antwuan Reed and Mike Cruz.

All the other talent that you mentioned is a dime a dozen in the wpial, not to mention hot recruiting beds such as Ohio, Florida, Texas, and California.

I'm not trying to downplay the talent. I love watching the kids you mentioned play, but I just think sometimes we put on the blinders and "talk up" our kids, which is cool, but not realistic.

Sportsfan, I completely agree with you and to add my two cents, i even think that those two players are over hyped. I mean maybe they can get into a smaller D1 school but Pitt? Im not so sure.

despite Stephens-Howling doing fairly well i dont think the scatback is what is best for the Pitt offensive system (need more of a big physical back)

so im hearing Antwaun Reed will be playing Corner in college so it should work out well for him at that position

Cruz is big and makes the catches when they are thrown to him
(What else do you want out of a Tight End?) so i dont see why Pitt is reaching for him?

how can one say wayne jones is not capable of reaching D-1? hes around 6'5 300+....and ask anyone around...they will tell you he is easily the quickest guy at his size around here...and thats withouth great college molding...

as for any other D-1 talent...most of the time a d1 athlete has the ability to dominate at his position...larod was definately able to do great things in h.s. and it trasfered over to college...he did have to put on size/weight/strength, but who doesnt?....my point is that if a person cant dominate at the h.s. level...how are they going to stand out in college?
