2006 Keystone Games

Post by fan4 »

I went to the tryouts last saturday and saw some pretty promising talent, especially the kids from huntington and hollidaysburg.

The hardest throwing pitcher was from a junior to be at huntington at 84 mph. brett vescovi, a lefty, hit 83.

anyone know who made the team or has a prediction on how the team will do??

I heard the coach has contacted some of the kids that were at the tryouts and invited them to be on the team. Not sure of who they are, though.

I hear that there is a kid from Hollidaysburg that definately made the team. He was at third base. I was also at the tryouts and it looks as if the team could do very well out in York this year. Also as for more local kids I hear that Bobby Helman, Kyle Bowser, Danny Fenton, Russell Gray, and Andy Rubal have all made the team. Along with them will be a few others from around Jtown, but i havent heard much else. Also I hear that Johnny Walylko might be making a visit to the Keystone Games with the team this year.

First of all that post just had nothing to do with the topic so please note what your posting and where your posting it at. Second of all I have no idea who this kid is so i dont know how good he can be doing now.

And if pony league baseball in Johnstown is anything like POny league around here it doesn't count for much because very few good players play.

They Will Be Good They Have A Good Pitchin Staff with walylko and vescovi and some kid from huntingdon

they're defense will be sick with gray at 1st bowser 2nd shorts a toss up and helman at 3rd and fenton becker and rubal in the outfield

their offence will be sick too alot of power in the lineup

Brett Vescovi pitched well in the Keystone Games. He pitched all 7 innnings of the first game striking out 7 with no walks.

Gray blew it in the games at first base. He had 5 errors in the 6 games that the team played. Seitz just let him in there though. But he did put Vescovi in at first in one of the last games. He made a diving catch in foul ground behind the base then made the throw from his knees to third to keep the runner for advancing from second. I think that is pretty heads up baseball. Then in the next half inning vescovi stole second and got into a run down with two outs to score the run from third.

I think Vescovi will go to a pretty good program if he plays like that every game.
