By the looks of all those football banners in the McCort gymnasium, are you sure that McCort is part of that "top AA competition in district 6"?

You know, you walk into McCort's gym and what do you see regarding football. You see some kind of Pa Catholic league banner from 1951 or so. And you see ONE LONE banner from 2001 that says District 6 champion. Heck, that year you couldn't even win the LHAC. That's it folks. And how many years has McCort (or Johnstown Catholic) existed???? TWO measily banners after all those years and all of the sudden "they are the top AA competition in District 6". Pretty sad when girl's basketball has more recognition on the gym walls than football.

What I can't understand is, why does vman think that every time FH plays McCort it's a BIG GAME? Maybe it is from HIS standpoint. The way I see it, there has been TWO BIG GAMES between FH and McCort recently. In the 2002 District 6 Championship at Mansion Park, FH beat BM in one of the biggest blow-outs in District 6AA football championship history, 40-10. And then, of course, was the FH win last year over McCort. To me, these were the only actual BIG GAMES between FH and BM recently. So the way I see it, King Don is 2-0 against BM in Big Games. Now if he's 2-0 vs McCort and 2-5 vs Tyrone, that's 4-5 in BIG GAMES. Not bad. Maybe when McCort actually plays in 9 district championships we can compare our records.

Ok I agree that Bailey is a great coach and what not. But Moldo, come on, be realistic! The first year I started following the LHAC, the first game I watched was between FH-BM in '01! That was a huge game and the second round playoff game that year was absolutely HUGE!! Being totally unbiased, how can you not say that those weren't big games?! And not to mention in '04 in the regular season. FH could have had a top spot in the district but lost to McCort? Seriously, as a fan of the LHAC and being totally unbiased I have to say that these were huge games REGARDLESS OF WHO WON!

First of all we remember that we are comparing lil ol single A BM vs. creative accounting, dont wanna be AAA fh. Moldy conveniently leaves out 2001, when mccort won twice at fh, with the second contest being in the playoffs. I talked recently of the '02 team which had 2 returning starters both of which played defense in '01, and that squad certaintly overachieved by making it all the way to the D6 championship.

And of course '04 is not mentioned due to the fact that mccort won over fh in regular season and playoff games again.

Regardless, facts are facts and records are records....
Facts are don has lost 2/3 of recent contest with BM & Tyrone....
that's 12 of the last 18 games vs. tyrone and bm. All Hail!!

When you play baseball, what you do in the 1st inning is every bit as important as what you do in the 9th. How many games are lost in the 2nd inning of baseball games? So EVERY inning is important. It's just like that in football. If PC beats Johnstown in game ONE this year, they do not have to share the league crown with McCort. They win it outright. How BIG was that game? They are ALL big. For vman to come on here and say that FH has lost to "the top teams in AA in district 6" ,as in BM and Tyrone, is a joke. Every game is important. Every year FH has to put forth their best effort against CC, BC, PC, BM, Bedford, etc. etc. Was the McCort-Central game BIG this year? They were losing at halftime. They lose that one and it changes their whole season. So don't give me that only BM and Tyrone were BIG GAMES for FH. vman should just enjoy this season instead of hitting on FH. What I have said already has made BM look worse in comparison. Again, when BM finally plays in 9 district games, vman can compare records

For God sakes are you a hypocrit Moldo:
To me, these were the only actual BIG GAMES between FH and BM recently. So the way I see it, King Don is 2-0 against BM in Big Games.
Versus

His last post where he states, "Every game is important."

And in his last post he doesnt even defend himself against my previous arguement of why don't you say that the '01 games were big?

And ALSO, vman NEVER SAID THAT FH'S ONLY IMPORTANT GAMES WERE AGAINST TYRONE AND BMHS!!!!

You know we got 1st inning, mccort's gym banners, all of mccort's D1 kids, if pc would've won that game, you're all over the friggin place moldo... and again since fh lost fri. you and ur boiz were the ones that had to attck bm, yet you acuse me of "hitting on fh".

I'm just guilty of stating the facts...such as a 33 1/3 winning % vs. the top D6 AA competitors.
