I really love Pitt style basketball, and this year may be better than the Brandin Knight and Carl Krauser years. Aaron Gray is an animal on the boards, and Ramon, Fields, and Graves form an excellent back court. Defensive specialist Levon Kendall seems like he has been there for about 6 years now, but that is a good thing. I also really like the transfer Mike Cook from East Carolina. The depth shows through when you bring in players with the skill of Sam Young and Tyrell Biggs. That being said, there has also been a huge amount of parity in the beginning of this season (see Butler, Gonzaga, Oral Roberts). In a college basketball world where Marquette could be a top 10 team, and an extremely top heavy Big East schedule on the horizon, I wouldn't be counting Pitt's eggs before they hatch. Potential can be the dirtiest word in sports.
