Give Pitt Some Credit.
Worst-dressed team of 2006.
What a fine job Matt Cavanaugh and Paul Rhodes are doing at Pittsburgh. Another great second-half performance lifts Pitt to a big win. Whatever bozo commentator was calling this game, actually said this in the second half when Pitt trailed by 21 points:
"I really have a lot of respect for what Matt Cavanaugh is doing with his offense right now. Its the middle of the third quarter, you are down by 21 points, and he continues to have faith in his team, running ball up the middle."
That right there is proof of why whoever was commentating the game is actually in the box and not on someone's sideline. Matt Cavanaugh was doing a great job sitting on his heels and running the ball, down 21, after he has watched 11 games prior to this, multiple second-half embarrassments, and still continues to have "faith" that somehow, without his actual coaching, Pitt will find a way to win the game. Nice job, Cavanaugh, per usual. How many times do you seriously need something slapping you in the face before you change it? How many times do you run out of gas on the interstate before you get your eyes to glance at the fuel meter once in awhile? How many times do you put too much sugar in your lemonade before you stop dumping a whole box in the pitcher? I mean... what is the rationality here? This guy is so beyond clueless I dont even know what to say. I am seriously speechless watching these Pitt coordinators do things. How many times do you do the same thing before you realize it doesnt work??????
Tyler Palko is one of the best quarterbacks in the country, has been for years, and yet is still under-utilized. And now, with him and Blades gone, you will still hear idiots say things like "Pitt is really moving their program in the right direction." You've got to be kidding me with this. How many people were at that game tonight? Louisville is the best team Pitt played all season, it was at home, and the stadium was empty. It is disgusting watching this team operate.
Dave Wannstedt has shown that he has the brain capacity to recruit decent players. That's great for Pitt. But you still play the games on the field. I am very curious as to how Wanny handles this offseason.

well put TAE
couldnt have said it better myself
and were there more people at Mansion Park last night or at Heinz Field this afternoon?
I had tickets but i had prior commitments that prevented me from going to the game
well a new page has to be turned
Tyler Palko and HB Blades, two of the better Panthers of all time but their legacy will be overlooked due to the lack of winning
and we can kiss Darrelle goodbye he is a first round pick what does he have to hang around for?
and let me ask you this
Pitt has 8 returning Offensive starters
and I believe 7 Defensive starters coming back is this a good thing or a bad thing???
but im excited about 1 thing
Pat Bostick is for real

Don't decorate him before he takes even one snap on the field.
Everybody thought Morelli was "the man" coming into LAST year, and some were calling for him when Michael Robinson struggled in the begining of the year. He's had his opportunities this year, and has done NOTHING with them in the 4 big games they played this year.
I hope Devlin get's a chance next year...
Pitt was young this year, and they struggled down the stretch. The coaching was sub-par and until they get rid of those idiots, they'll be .500 every year in the Big East.
