6-1 to 6-6 and no bowl....plus more on PSU-Pitt
Re: 6-1 to 6-6 and no bowl....plus more on PSU-Pitt
This was the exact kind of thread that you were discouraging by Pitt fans at one time, that's what's amazing.
Getting it all the time...I give back once in a while.
Let's look at some topics on the last three pages.
The Mighty Big Ten
How They Doin
Paterno and Squad Pre Wisky Photo
Game of the Year
What does this guy want
Someone please call UPS
PSU Education
Did Joe do what I think he did
History Repeating Itself again
PSU's D. Williams...D for Don't Believe
Coming to the Beave
Joe Can't Coach
Good Game, PSU...dumb as a box of rocks
Now, many of those were started by Pitt fans...the same 3 or so.
I discounted any by AE, because he posts both pro and negative posts against PSU and negative ones on Pitt. He always makes these fake stories, etc.
Say, see ppl don't like PSU or this or that. Well, it is the same 3ish people with their anti-PSU stuff all the time. How many posts were made about what Pitt was actually doing or pro Pitt stuff... like 2-3. PSU posts used to be made more, but those threads would just get run into the ground with the same stuff over and over.
Ah well, gotta get going. It is fun to just "give back" once in a while...

A view of Heinz Field during a 2007 Pitt Panther home game.

Why?
Re: 6-1 to 6-6 and no bowl....plus more on PSU-Pitt
Hey Coach, now seriously we (PITT & UPS fans) can't take each other too seriously! Admittedly, I'm like the current day FH fan who obsesses on their opponent rather than face the stark reality of how friggin awful their defense (Pitt) is/was, for example. But my post like Joe's first squad above are certainly meant to be good natured..or did someone think that was actually Joe's first team? Whatever!
My point is, I'm certainly not offended by the attacks on Pitt & as a matter of fact, I just respond....& not to dig up the entire OOC thing again but how can a St. fan say anything re. someone elses schedule (I don't care if it's home, away, neutral, whatever) when you've added FIU, Buff. & Temple next year?
See, I feel better already! It is therapeutic for my pals & seems to work for me also!

I know what you mean... I was just pointing on examples of rips against PSU that happen all the time on here as opposed to the once in a while thing for me.
See, I'm just kind of baffled that Pitt's AD didn't see this coming a bit...maybe it was made too early or something... With WVU, Rutgers, and Louisville at Pitt last year (I know they didn't know Rutgers would be what they were), but they also had UVA and Mich St at home this year. I would have thought they would try to get them away next year and then home this year so they wouldn't have the upcoming schedule they now have.
As for the adds to PSU's schedule...we don't have to go back to that I don't think, but the teams in the SEC, ACC, B12, and B10 don't have to go scheduling a lot of real good OOC games because their conf schedule is so good. In the BE with more of the down teams (the conference is improving I think or is it because mediocrity is creating better records?), they need to schedule better OOC opponents to keep up with everyone else. PSU does have ND as an OOC next year and they are following they system nearly EVERY OTHER team from the conferences above are following. Look at an overall picture of all those teams and you'll see I am right on here. Schedule a few bums and play one biggie.... Like this year with a bad OOC schedule, PSU still played 4 teams in the top 10-15 nationally on the entire schedule.
