(AP) — Players nominated for the Pennsylvania Class (AAAA) all-state high school football team. All Class (AAAA) players are eligible for the team and do not have to be nominated to receive votes.
QUARTERBACKS:
Pat Bostick, Manheim Township, Sr., 6-4, 220. Second-team all-state selection last year. Completed 178-472 passes for 2,172 yards and 20 touchdowns for team that went 8-3 and reached the first round of the District #3 (AAAA) playoffs. The University of Pittsburgh recruit finished his four-year career as the district's all-time leading passer with 7,225 yards and 94 touchdowns, breaking the record set by current Michigan quarterback Chad Henne.
Matt Zigment, Conestoga Valley, Sr., 6-1, 190. Helped revive a struggling program this season by completing 169 of 306 passes for 2,307 yards and 25 TDs. CV, which had gone 3-17 over the previous two seasons, won a division title and reached the District #3 (AAAA) playoffs, where it fell in the second round.
John Harrison, La Salle, Jr., 5-10, 165. Selected to first team of Philadelphia Daily News all-city all-star team. Threw for 2,274 yards this year and 4,031 for his career, which ranks seventh in Philadelphia history.
Al Humes, Ridley, Sr., 6-1, 190. Threw for 2,074 yards on 66 percent accuracy heading into District One semifinals. Threw 26 touchdown passes with five interceptions.
Dan Persa, Liberty, Sr., 6-2, 205. Passed for 1,725 yards and 17 touchdowns with only three interceptions, and rushed for 915 yards and 12 TDs in leading Liberty to its second straight District 11 Class 4-(A) title. He twice passed and ran for over 100 yards against Easton, the No.# 1 ranked defense in District #11. Has passed for a school-record "42" touchdowns with just eight interceptions over last two seasons, and has gained 1,489 yards rushing with "20" rushing TDs. Two-time Lehigh Valley Conference first-team selection; Morning Call big school player of the year last season. Has accepted offer from Northwestern.
A.J. Alexander, Altoona, Jr., 5-11, 180. Ran the ball 121 times for 854 yards and completed 36 of 69 passes for 393 yards, four touchdowns and four interceptions in 11 games. Team finished 7-4, but three of those losses were by a combined 12 points on the road to playoff-qualifying teams. Also an accomplished return man, ran back two kicks for scores to give him 17 touchdowns total. Big-time Division I recruit already has offers from Pitt, Penn State and others. Accomplished sprinter who has made PIAA championships in 100, 200 and relays.
Brook Hart, Sr., State College, 6-5, 190. Completed 58.8 percent (137 of 233) for 1,992 yards and school single-season record 26 touchdowns entering District #3-6 Class (AAAA) final. As first-year starter, was 34 yards shy of schools single-season passing yardage record. Also rushed for 251 yards and three touchdowns. First team Mid-Penn Commonwealth quarterback. Several Ivy League and Division I-A schools showing interest.
Tim Hook, Central Dauphin, Sr., 6-0, 150. Completed 162 of 237 attempts (68.4%) for 1,954 yards and 15 touchdowns. Threw 6 interceptions.
Jerrick Jenkins, Simon Gratz, Sr., 6-2, 185. Selected to second team of Philadelphia Daily News all-city all-star team. Finished third all-time in Philadelphia Public League history in yards per season. Threw for 1,643 this season.
John Kennedy, Central, Sr., 5-10, 165. Selected to first team of Philadelphia Daily News all-city all-star team. Rushed for 896 yards and 18 touchdowns and threw for 497 yards and 4 touchdowns.
Jeff Stewart, Bethel Park, Sr., 6-3, 200. Threw for 1,515 yards, eight TDs despite missing one game with an injury. Also scored four TDs.

RUNNING BACKS:
Deries Hodge, Harrisburg, Sr., 6-1, 215. Second-team all-state selection last year. Rushed 221 times for 1,171 yards (7.7 yards per carry) and 24 touchdowns. Also was an outstanding inside linebacker.
Lamont Smith, Pittsburgh Central Catholic, Sr., 5-8, 165. Second-team all-state selection last year. Has verbally committed to Colorado, where he will play defensive back. Missed several games with an ankle injury, still rushed for 990 yards, scored 13 TDs. Had 3,060 yards rushing the past two seasons.
Raymone West, Glen Mills, Jr., 5-9, 185. Despite missing two games, ran for 1,909 yards and scored 21 touchdowns. Had five games of 200-plus yards and worst effort was 143 yards.
Kendell Coleman, Martin Luther King, Sr., 5-6, 150. Selected to first team of Philadelphia Daily News all-city all-star team.
Brett Czarnecki, Muhlenberg, Sr., 5-10, 165. Berks County offensive back of the year, rushed for 1,548 yards and 16 TDs in 11 games. Had three 200-yards games and seven 100-yards games. Averages 6.5 per carry.
Kenny Domzalski, Delaware Valley, Sr., 5-9, 172. Sparked the Warriors to the District #2 Class (AAAA) playoffs and a 9-2 record. Ran for an area-best 1,901 yards with 17 touchdowns in 10 games. Also caught 12 passes for 146 yards and two touchdowns and finished with 20 touchdowns overall and 120 points. Ran for more than 200 yards five times including a season-best 298 against Wallenpaupack with two touchdowns. In two seasons, had 2,637 yards and 28 touchdowns.
Jerome Larue, Lancaster McCaskey, Jr., 5-10, 185. Rushed for 1,242 yards and 14 touchdowns to help McCaskey make its first appearance in the District #3 (AAAA) playoffs since 2002.
Dustin Manz, Gov. Mifflin, Sr., 5-7, 170. Small but explosive and strong. Rushed for 1,190 yards and 17 TDs heading into District #3/6-(AAAA) championship. Had 176 yards and 5 TDs against Wilson, 352 yards against Conestoga Valley. Also, 178 yards against Pottsville at midseason. Didn't start getting bulk of carries until second half of season. Averages 6.9 per carry.
Cameron Saddler, Gateway, Jr., 5-7, 155. Five kickoff returns for TD were one short of a national record. The average length of his 20 TDs was 42.7 yards. Had 2,505 all-purpose yards, including 1,045 rushing and 309 on 17 receptions. Temple and North Carolina have offered scholarships.
Ahkeem Smith, Liberty, Jr., 6-0, 190. Rushed for 1,257 yards and a school single-season record 25 touchdowns in helping Liberty win the District #11 Class 4-(A) title. First-year starter who averaged 6.5 yards per carry.
Calvin Spires, Frankford, Sr., 6-0, 190. Selected to second team of Philadelphia Daily News all-city all-star team.

Ty Bynum, Conestoga Valley, Sr., 6-1, 190. A returning (AAAA) first team all-state player, he caught 65 passes for 982 yards and 13 touchdowns and returned three punts for scores. Fielding scholarship offers from Maryland, Syracuse, Pittsburgh and West Virginia.
Jack Forster, La Salle, Sr., 6-0, 180. Selected to first team of Philadelphia Daily News all-city all-star team. Has accepted lacrosse scholarship to Penn State. Caught 75 passes for 940 yards and 12 touchdowns. Also punted and played defensive back.
Logan Ecker, Central Dauphin, Sr., 6-0, 170. Caught 63 passes for 893 yards and 6 touchdowns. Averaged 20 yards per kick returns.
Josh Smith, Wilson (West Lawn), Sr., 6-4, 200. Three-year starter had 58 receptions for 637 yards and 10 TDs for run-oriented offense. Had 16 catches for 1,845 yards and 26 TDs in career. Had team-high 4 interceptions. Led Bulldogs to Lancaster-Lebanon League Section 1 title, District #3/6-(AAAA) semifinals and 11-2 record. Baseball scholarship from Pitt.
Darrell Brown, Dobbins, Sr., 6-2, 180. Selected to first team of Philadelphia Daily News all-city all-star team.
Julian Harrell, Harrisburg Bishop McDevitt, Jr., 6-3, 210. Caught 56 passes for 839 yards and five touchdowns.
Kamar Jorden, Penn Wood, Sr., 6-3, 190. Had 34 catches for 549 yards and 10 touchdowns heading into Thanksgiving game. Also quality defensive back. Temple and Eastern Michigan interested.
Andrew Kerr, Sr., State College, 6-2, 195. Had team-high 42 catches for 582 yards and nine touchdowns entering District #3-6 Class (AAAA) final. Has also rushed for a touchdown, returned three interceptions for touchdowns as well run back a punt and kickoff for scores. Second team Mid-Penn Commonwealth WR, DB and return specialist. Drawing interest from Division #1-(AA) colleges.
Chris Lorditch, Archbishop Wood, 6-3, 185, Sr. First-team all-state selection last year as K. Selected to first team of Philadelphia Daily News all-city all-star team. Set Philadelphia career record for touchdown receptions with 27.
Phil Mertine, Wallenpaupack, Jr., 5-11, 170. Effective pass catcher for the Buckhorns, who helped them improve from a 1-9 team to 3-7 in coach Mark Watson's first season. Had 41 catches for 698 yards with five touchdowns. Caught 11 passes for 144 yards in a loss to Scranton and had four receptions for 176 yards and two touchdowns in a loss to Valley View. Has 56 catches for 1,093 yards and eight touchdowns in his career.
J.C. Montgomery, Frankford, Sr., 6-5, 220. Selected to second team of Philadelphia Daily News all-city all-star team.
Shaun Pasternak, Abington Heights, Sr., 6-3, 190. Caught 32 passes for 693 yards with 11 touchdowns in helping the Comets win the District #2 Class (AAAA) championship. Caught five passes for 112 yards and two touchdowns against Delaware Valley and had five catches for 119 yards and two touchdowns in a win over Scranton. In two seasons, caught 40 passes for 779 yards. Also a standout defensive back who had three interceptions.
Marcus Payton, Ridley, Sr., 6-3, 200. Leads Delaware County with 11 touchdown catches. Has 40 catches for 643 yards and team is in District One semifinals. Also a standout at free safety. Rutgers, Temple, Syracuse interested.
Tim Picard, Bethel Park, Sr., 6-3, 186. Caught 47 passes for 966 yards (20.5), scored eight TDs. Starting guard on basketball team.
Mike Schupp, Erie Cathedral Prep, Sr., 5-10, 170. Has 41 catches for 614 yards and 6 TDs. Great hands and is go-to guy in third down situations. Also the team's top punt returner, and as defensive back has 60 tackles. Team (12-2) advanced to P.I.A.A. semifinals.
Mike Shanahan, Norwin, Jr., 6-4, 220. Game-breaking receiver who averaged 19.4 yards per catch (36 for 698) and scored 10 TDs. A quality defensive back.

Nate Stupar, State College, Sr., 6-3, 225. First-team all-state selection last year. Had 36 receptions for 554 yards and 6 touchdowns entering District #3-6 Class (AAAA) final. Also rushed for 220 yards and two touchdowns. First-team Mid-Penn Commonwealth selection at tight end. Committed to Penn State.
Rob Gronkowski, Woodland Hills, Sr., 6-6, 250. One of nation's top TE recruits after transferring to Gateway for senior season. Also played defensive line. Will choose from five colleges: Ohio State, Maryland, Syracuse, Arizona and Clemson.
Thomas Keiser, North Allegheny, Sr., 6-4, 230. Committed to Stanford. Caught 10 passes for 169 yards and 5 touchdowns. Recorded 26 solo tackles, 21 assists.
Dave Wilson, Upper Darby, Sr., 6-5, 220. Good hands and good speed. Had 27 catches for 504 yards and seven touchdowns going into Thanksgiving game. Helped team qualify for playoffs. Rutgers, Hofstra, Delaware interested.

Stefen Wisniewski, Pittsburgh Central Catholic, Sr., 6-3, 275. First-team all-state selection last year. Excellent two-way lineman who probably will be a blocker in college. Committed to Penn State.
Greg Gaskins, York High, Sr., 6-4, 280. Gaskins' blocking played a pivotal role in the Bearcats' running game which averaged 5.0 yards a carry. Committed to Pitt.
Caleb Ruch, Quakertown, C-G, Sr., 6-3, 280. Rutgers recruit. Can play center and guard. Excellent quickness for his size.
Paul Simkovich, Latrobe, Sr., 6-5, 285. Michigan State recruit.
Wes Banks, Hempfield (Dist. 7), Sr., 6-2, 250. G. First-team W.P.I.A.L. all-Quad South. Dominating lineman, getting offers from UConn, UMass, and other schools. Also a standout discus thrower.
Ryan Burgess, Gov. Mifflin, Sr., 6-3, 235. Center and defensive tackle. Berks County offensive lineman of the year. Averaged 3 pancake blocks per game. Key to option running game that produced 278 yards rushing per game and paved way for a pair of 1,000-yard backs. Two-way starter led team to school-record 12 wins and a spot in District #3/6-(AAAA) championship game.
Chris Buzas, Cathedral Prep, Sr., 6-1, 255. Top blocker for team that went 12-2 and reached P.I.A.A. semifinals.
Chris Clanton, Washington, 6-2, 220, Sr. Selected to first team of Philadelphia Daily News all-city all-star team.
Spencer DePhillips, Abington Heights, Sr., 6-1, 265. Helped Abington Heights average 132.6 rushing yards per game and 266.8 total yards per game on its way to the District # 2 Class (AAAA) championship and the Lackawanna Football Conference Division #I crown.
Mike Fay, Parkland, Sr., 6-3, 250. Lead blocker on Parkland team that went 10-0 in the regular season to win the Lehigh Valley Conference title. The Wing-T oriented Trojans amassed 3,338 yards rushing on 546 attempts for an average of 6.11 yards per carry with 45 rushing touchdowns.
Mike Hitchings, Liberty High, Sr., 5-11, 215. Starting center on a Liberty team that averaged 40 points per game en route to winning the District #11 Class 4-(A) title. Also a leader on defense, posing 23 solo tackles, 13 assisted with four fumble recoveries. Named Lehigh Valley Conference honorable mention instead of first-team because he missed two games because of a team-imposed suspension.
Maurice Jessup, Bartram, Sr., 6-3, 300. Selected to first team of Philadelphia Daily News all-city all-star team.
Rob Johnson, Interboro, Sr., 6-5, 270. Best lineman for team that qualified for Class (AAAA) playoffs. Team ran for 200-plus yards per game. Interest from Villanova, Richmond, Lehigh.
Richard Muldrow, York, Sr., 6-7, 305. Muldrow's blocking at left tackle complemented Gaskins' blocking at right tackle in the Bearcats' offensive scheme. Has received 15 Division #I-A scholarship offers.
Pete Pappas, Upper Darby, Sr., 6-4, 295. Best lineman for team that made playoffs. Team averaged 320 yards per game. Delaware State, Albany, Hofstra showing interest.
Tyler Sands, Boyertown, Jr., 6-5, 285. Tackle. Did not allow a sack all season, had 28 pancake blocks, outstanding downfield blocker for team that earned first District #1 playoff berth, first Pioneer Athletic Conference championship and finished 8-4.
Keith Schauder, Boyertown, Sr., 6-4, 280. Tackle. Did not allow a sack all season, had 28 pancake blocks and was top blocker for team that earned first District #1 playoff berth, first Pioneer Athletic Conference championship and finished 8-4. Team captain.

Tyree Dudley, Frankford, Sr., 6-4, 305. Selected to first team of Philadelphia Daily News all-city all-star team. Receiving Division I interest.
Travis Romer, Delaware Valley, Sr., 6-2, 325. Nose guard who helped Delaware Valley qualify for the District #2 Class (AAAA) playoffs. Finished the season with 88 tackles, 31/2 sacks and a fumble recovery for a unit that gave up 247.1 yards per game this season. Against the run, the Warriors gave up 123.2 yards per game.
Derrick Morgan, Coatesville, DE, Sr., 6-4, 260. Georgia Tech recruit. Fast and athletic at 260 pounds. Georgia Tech recruit.
Darell Brown, Penn Wood, Sr., 6-3, 255. Two-way standout on the line who has caused major disruption as defensive tackle. Team has six wins, a major improvement over four combined wins from previous three seasons. West Virginia, Pittsburgh, Hofstra showing interest.
Al Cabrejos, Hazleton Area, Jr., 6-2, 200. Didn't break into starting lineup until fifth game, but still finished with 55 tackles, 7 sacks and a blocked kick.
Brant Clouser, Altoona, Sr., 6-4, 265. One of just five players to make Mid-Penn Conference All-Commonwealth Division first team on both offense and defense. Top lineman on a team that had two 850-yard rushers and averaged 229.8 yards per game on the ground. Altoona also averaged 6.7 yards per running play and scored 35 rushing touchdowns. Defense allowed 82.5 yards per game and 2.9 yards per carry. Team finished 7-4, with three of those losses coming by a combined 12 points. Being recruited primarily by Division #I-AA colleges, but getting some looks from Division #I-A schools.
Matt Dietz, Harrisburg Bishop McDevitt, Sr., 6-1, 215. Bounced back from fractured ankle in fourth game of 2005 to post a strong season with nearly 50 tackles as a defensive end. Had five sacks. Was pressed into service on the offensive line when several linemen were injured.
Andrew Devlin, Mount Lebanon, Sr., 6-6, 255. Virginia recruit was a defensive force the past two seasons. Also a solid tight end.
Mike Dykes, Woodland Hills. North Carolina recruit was a top-notch two-way lineman.
Jewhan Edwards, Roman Catholic, 6-1, 310, Jr. Selected to first team of Philadelphia Daily News all-city all-star team.
Sean Evans, Northeast, 6-6, 205, Sr. Selected to first team of Philadelphia Daily News all-city all-star team. Receiving Division I interest in football and basketball.

Joe Goldschmidt, Cardinal O'Hara, Sr., 6-2, 240. An All-Catholic selection as a defensive end. Interest from William & Mary, Hofstra and Holy Cross.

Greg Meisner II, Hempfield, Sr., 6-2, 225. Getting looks from Kentucky, UMass, and other D-I schools. All Conference player. Good speed.
Joe Rash, Penn Hills, Sr., 6-4, 252. First-team all-conference on defense past two seasons. Also a solid tight end.

Shayne Hale, Gateway, Jr., 6-4, 235. Had 105 tackles, including 13 for loss, five sacks, two fumble recoveries and four forced fumbles. Already has scholarship offers from Pitt, Ohio State, Michigan, Tennessee and North Carolina.
Ray Bennett, Abington Heights, Sr., 5-10, 205. Aggressive inside linebacker who hounded ball carriers the entire season. Led the Comets with 116 total tackles, including 68 solo stops. Had three tackles for loss, one sack, and one interception for the District #2 Class (AAAA) champions. Also a starter on the offensive line for the Comets, who finished the season 10-2.
Dane Conwell, Upper St. Clair, Sr., 6-2, 215. Committed to Indiana. Also has rushed for more than 1,000 yards, including the winning score with 58 seconds left in the W.P.I.A.L. final against Penn Hills, then sealed that victory with an interception.
Geoff Deck, Wilson (West Lawn), Sr., 5-10, 165. Top player on Berks County's top-rated defense. Swift outside backer was big hitter on run support and capable of covering WRs. Active sideline-to-sideline player who helped Bulldogs to Lancaster-Lebanon League Section 1 title, District #3/6-(AAAA) semifinals and 11-2 record (both losses to Gov. Mifflin).
Nate Eachus, Hazleton Area, Jr., 6-0, 190. Versatile player who rarely left the field, led team with 98 tackles, with 1 sack, 1 interception, 1 fumble caused. Also ran for 894 yards and 12 touchdowns as a running back, and averaged 32.8 yards on 34 punts, including 6 inside the 20.
Joe Favinger, Gov. Mifflin, Sr., 6-1, 215. Berks County Linebacker of the Year led team in tackles and pushed team to school-record 12 wins (including two wins over Wilson) and a spot in District #3/6-(AAAA) championship game. Sideline-to-sideline coverage, very active, key team leader.
Andrew Hodges, Ridley, Jr., 5-11, 190. Anchor of defense that has five shutouts and is allowing only six points and 160 yards per game. Has team in District One semifinal.
Pat McAfee, Archbishop Wood, Sr., 6-0, 210. Selected to second team of Philadelphia Daily News all-city all-star team.
Al Petros, Liberty High, Sr., 6-1, 205. Posted 37 solo tackles, 19 assisted stops with 12 1/2 sacks and two fumble recoveries in leading Liberty's defense that surrendered just an average of 11.3 points per game throughout the District 11-2-4 Class 4A subregional playoffs. Named to the Lehigh Valley Conference first team. Has received Division I-A attention.
C.J. Marck, Pennsbury, Sr., 6-1, 221. UConn recruit. Has 4.65 speed.
Calden Pierce, Roxborough, Sr., 5-11, 195. Selected to first team of Philadelphia Daily News all-city all-star team.
Wes Plummer, Altoona, Sr., 6-2, 200. Top tackler on a defense that only allowed 908 rushing yards in 11 games and 2.9 yards per opponent's rushing play. Had 85 tackles for Mountain Lions (who finished 7-4), including about 10 for loss.
Harry Reese, Wyoming Valley West, Sr., 6-2, 240_Heart of the Valley West defense the past two seasons and considered the top defensive players in the Wyoming Valley Conference. Also played defensive tackle and nose guard at times. As a running back, he led the WVC with 19 rushing touchdowns. Finished the season with 900 rushing yards.
Adrian Robinson, Harrisburg, Jr., 6-2, 215. The best of four outstanding linebackers on a Harrisburg team that limited opponents to 6.7 points per game. Had more than 100 tackles, including 12 tackles for losses, two interceptions and three fumble recoveries. Expected to be a Division #I-A recruit next year.
Mike Sullivan, Interboro, Sr., 5-11, 210. Before breaking leg in ninth week, was top player on team's defense. Helped team to playoff berth. Also ran for 750 yards and 11 touchdowns. Division II interest.
Ian Sumner, Delaware Valley, Sr., 5-10, 220. A two-time all-region selection and powerful run-stopper, he helped the Warriors to the District #2 Class (AAAA) playoffs. Had 100 total tackles and a fumble recovery for Delaware Valley. In his career, had more than 300 tackles as a three-year starter. In his junior year, had school-record 112 tackles and three fumble recoveries.
Aaron Williams, Penn Hills, Sr., 6-1, 215. Key player in Indians' run to W.P.I.A.L. runner-up spot. Team's leading tackler. Rushed for 1,189 yards, scored 14 TDs. Akron, Toledo, Buffalo have offered scholarships, recruiting him as a linebacker.
Thomas Wrona, Easton, Sr., 5-9, 185. Posted 35 solo tackles, 45 assisted stops with eight sacks and two interceptions on Easton defense that yielded an average of 8.2 points per game in 14 games. Named to the Lehigh Valley Conference first team.

DEFENSIVE BACKS:
Chris McGee, Boyertown, Sr., 5-10, 180. Moved from WR to RB at midseason, he sparked Bears' playoff run. In seven games at RB he rushed for 1,106 yards and 18 TDs, leading team to first District 1 playoff berth, first Pioneer Athletic Conference championship and 8-4 record. Averaged 7.9 per carry. Also, outstanding safety who lead team in tackles (114), pass breakups and interceptions (3) and forced four fumbles; was all-state first team DB as a sophomore; knee injury as junior.
D.J. Patterson, Altoona, Sr., 5-10, 175. Had 14 interceptions as Altoona went 7-4. Returned three interceptions for touchdowns. Picked off at least one pass in each of last five games, including four in one game and two in two others.
Jarred Holley, Easton, Jr., 5-11, 175. Led Lehigh Valley Conference with nine interceptions, five pass break ups, and had 27 solo tackles, 24 assisted stops following Thanksgiving game against rival Phillipsburg. Also a standout on offense, catching 35 passes for 549 yards and eight touchdowns. Carried 127 times for 650 yards and 12 touchdowns. QUARTERBACKS:
Pat Bostick, Manheim Township, Sr., 6-4, 220. Second-team all-state selection last year. Completed 178-472 passes for 2,172 yards and 20 touchdowns for team that went 8-3 and reached the first round of the District #3 (AAAA) playoffs. The University of Pittsburgh recruit finished his four-year career as the district's all-time leading passer with 7,225 yards and 94 touchdowns, breaking the record set by current Michigan quarterback Chad Henne.
Matt Zigment, Conestoga Valley, Sr., 6-1, 190. Helped revive a struggling program this season by completing 169 of 306 passes for 2,307 yards and 25 TDs. CV, which had gone 3-17 over the previous two seasons, won a division title and reached the District #3 (AAAA) playoffs, where it fell in the second round.
John Harrison, La Salle, Jr., 5-10, 165. Selected to first team of Philadelphia Daily News all-city all-star team. Threw for 2,274 yards this year and 4,031 for his career, which ranks seventh in Philadelphia history.

Dan Persa, Liberty, Sr., 6-2, 205. Passed for 1,725 yards and 17 touchdowns with only three interceptions, and rushed for 915 yards and 12 TDs in leading Liberty to its second straight District 11 Class 4-(A) title. He twice passed and ran for over 100 yards against Easton, the No.# 1 ranked defense in District #11. A.J. Alexander, Altoona, Jr., 5-11, 180. Ran the ball 121 times for 854 yards and completed 36 of 69 passes for 393 yards, four touchdowns and four interceptions in 11 games. Team finished 7-4, but three of those losses were by a combined 12 points on the road to playoff-qualifying teams. Also an accomplished return man, ran back two kicks for scores to give him 17 touchdowns total. Big-time Division I recruit already has offers from Pitt, Penn State and others. Brett Czarnecki, Muhlenberg, Sr., 5-10, 165. Berks County offensive back of the year, rushed for 1,548 yards and 16 TDs in 11 games. Had three 200-yards games and seven 100-yards games. Averages 6.5 per carry.
Kenny Domzalski, Delaware Valley, Sr., 5-9, 172. Sparked the Warriors to the District #2 Class (AAAA) playoffs and a 9-2 record. Ran for an area-best 1,901 yards with 17 touchdowns in 10 games. Brant Clouser, Altoona, Sr., 6-4, 265. One of just five players to make Mid-Penn Conference All-Commonwealth Division first team on both offense and defense. Top lineman on a team that had two 850-yard rushers and averaged 229.8 yards per game on the ground. Altoona also averaged 6.7 yards per running play and scored 35 rushing touchdowns. Shayne Hale, Gateway, Jr., 6-4, 235. Had 105 tackles, including 13 for loss, five sacks, two fumble recoveries and four forced fumbles. Already has scholarship offers from Pitt, Ohio State, Michigan, Tennessee and North Carolina.
Ray Bennett, Abington Heights, Sr., 5-10, 205. Aggressive inside linebacker who hounded ball carriers the entire season. Led the Comets with 116 total tackles, including 68 solo stops. Had three tackles for loss, one sack, and one interception for the District #2 Class (AAAA) champions. Also a starter on the offensive line for the Comets, who finished the season 10-2.
Dane Conwell, Upper St. Clair, Sr., 6-2, 215. Committed to Indiana. Also has rushed for more than 1,000 yards, including the winning score with 58 seconds left in the W.P.I.A.L. final against Penn Hills, then sealed that victory with an interception.
Geoff Deck, Wilson (West Lawn), Sr., 5-10, 165. Top player on Berks County's top-rated defense. Swift outside backer was big hitter on run support and capable of covering WRs. Active sideline-to-sideline player who helped Bulldogs to Lancaster-Lebanon League Section 1 title, District #3/6-(AAAA) semifinals and 11-2 record (both losses to Gov. Mifflin).
Nate Eachus, Hazleton Area, Jr., 6-0, 190. Versatile player who rarely left the field, led team with 98 tackles, with 1 sack, 1 interception, 1 fumble caused. Also ran for 894 yards and 12 touchdowns as a running back, and averaged 32.8 yards on 34 punts, including 6 inside the 20.
Joe Favinger, Gov. Mifflin, Sr., 6-1, 215. Berks County Linebacker of the Year led team in tackles and pushed team to school-record 12 wins (including two wins over Wilson) and a spot in District #3/6-(AAAA) championship game. Sideline-to-sideline coverage, very active, key team leader.
Andrew Hodges, Ridley, Jr., 5-11, 190. Anchor of defense that has five shutouts and is allowing only six points and 160 yards per game. Has team in District One semifinal.

Al Petros, Liberty High, Sr., 6-1, 205. Posted 37 solo tackles, 19 assisted stops with 12 1/2 sacks and two fumble recoveries in leading Liberty's defense that surrendered just an average of 11.3 points per game throughout the District 11-2-4 Class 4A subregional playoffs. Named to the Lehigh Valley Conference first team. Has received Division I-A attention.
C.J. Marck, Pennsbury, Sr., 6-1, 221. UConn recruit. Has 4.65 speed.
Calden Pierce, Roxborough, Sr., 5-11, 195. Selected to first team of Philadelphia Daily News all-city all-star team.
Wes Plummer, Altoona, Sr., 6-2, 200. Top tackler on a defense that only allowed 908 rushing yards in 11 games and 2.9 yards per opponent's rushing play. Had 85 tackles for Mountain Lions (who finished 7-4), including about 10 for loss.
Harry Reese, Wyoming Valley West, Sr., 6-2, 240_Heart of the Valley West defense the past two seasons and considered the top defensive players in the Wyoming Valley Conference. Also played defensive tackle and nose guard at times. As a running back, he led the WVC with 19 rushing touchdowns. Finished the season with 900 rushing yards.
Adrian Robinson, Harrisburg, Jr., 6-2, 215. The best of four outstanding linebackers on a Harrisburg team that limited opponents to 6.7 points per game. Had more than 100 tackles, including 12 tackles for losses, two interceptions and three fumble recoveries. Expected to be a Division #I-A recruit next year.
Mike Sullivan, Interboro, Sr., 5-11, 210. Before breaking leg in ninth week, was top player on team's defense. Helped team to playoff berth. Also ran for 750 yards and 11 touchdowns. Division II interest.
Ian Sumner, Delaware Valley, Sr., 5-10, 220. A two-time all-region selection and powerful run-stopper, he helped the Warriors to the District #2 Class (AAAA) playoffs. Had 100 total tackles and a fumble recovery for Delaware Valley. In his career, had more than 300 tackles as a three-year starter. In his junior year, had school-record 112 tackles and three fumble recoveries.
Aaron Williams, Penn Hills, Sr., 6-1, 215. Key player in Indians' run to W.P.I.A.L. runner-up spot. Team's leading tackler. Rushed for 1,189 yards, scored 14 TDs. Akron, Toledo, Buffalo have offered scholarships, recruiting him as a linebacker.
Thomas Wrona, Easton, Sr., 5-9, 185. Posted 35 solo tackles, 45 assisted stops with eight sacks and two interceptions on Easton defense that yielded an average of 8.2 points per game in 14 games. Named to the Lehigh Valley Conference first team.

DEFENSIVE BACKS:
Chris McGee, Boyertown, Sr., 5-10, 180. Moved from WR to RB at midseason, he sparked Bears' playoff run. In seven games at RB he rushed for 1,106 yards and 18 TDs, leading team to first District 1 playoff berth, first Pioneer Athletic Conference championship and 8-4 record. Averaged 7.9 per carry. Also, outstanding safety who lead team in tackles (114), pass breakups and interceptions (3) and forced four fumbles; was all-state first team DB as a sophomore; knee injury as junior.
D.J. Patterson, Altoona, Sr., 5-10, 175. Had 14 interceptions as Altoona went 7-4. Returned three interceptions for touchdowns. Picked off at least one pass in each of last five games, including four in one game and two in two others.
Jarred Holley, Easton, Jr., 5-11, 175. Led Lehigh Valley Conference with nine interceptions, five pass break ups, and had 27 solo tackles, 24 assisted stops following Thanksgiving game against rival Phillipsburg. Also a standout on offense, catching 35 passes for 549 yards and eight touchdowns. Carried 127 times for 650 yards and 12 touchdowns. Three-time Lehigh Valley Conference first-team defensive back selection, three-time Morning Call All-Area first-team pick at defensive back. Has received scholarship offers from Penn State, Pittsburgh, Michigan, Florida, Miami, USC, Stanford, Virginia and several other top-ranked #I-A programs.
Abe Satterfield, Cathedral Prep, Sr., 6-0, 185. Committed to Iowa. Has 59 tackles, has broken up 9 passes and has one interception. Also a strong receiver with 28 catches for 465 yards and 5 TDs through 12 games.
Dominique Joseph, Roman Catholic, Sr., 6-1, 185. Selected to first team of Philadelphia Daily News all-city all-star team. University of Virginia recruit.
Dennis Buchman, Hazleton, Sr., 6-0, 175. Second team all-state as a junior, he missed two games due to injury this season. Still had 30 tackles, a fumble recovery and 2 interceptions, returning one 47 yards for a touchdown. As a WR also led team with 24 catches for 329 yards and 2 TDs.
Daryl Robinson, Northeast Catholic, 5-10, 170, Sr. Selected to first team of Philadelphia Daily News all-city all-star team. Temple recruit. Intercepted seven passes. Rushed for 1,437 yards and 19 touchdowns on 232 carries. Caught 30 passes for 436 yards and 5 touchdowns.
Vaughn Carraway, Muhlenberg, Jr., 6-3, 170. Berks County defensive back of the Year, 3 interceptions and 3 fumble recoveries. Also led team with 29 catches and 7 touchdowns, averaged 18.8 per catch.
Mike Comasco, Harrisburg Bishop McDevitt, Jr., 5-10, 180. Had seven interceptions as a cornerback, often played man-to-man on the opponents' best receiver. Also kicked for McDevitt, averaging 35 yards per punt and had 49 kicking points, six field goals and 31 extra points.
Dave Keisling, Abington Heights, Sr., 6-0, 195. Finished with 61 total tackles, including three tackles for loss and three sacks. Made six interceptions, defended four passes, forced two fumbles and recovered one. He also returned two interceptions for touchdowns.
Mark McPherson, Neumann-Goretti, Sr., 5-9, 185. Selected to first team of Philadelphia Daily News all-city all-star team.
Pat McShane, Upper St. Clair, Sr., 5-10, 175. Had seven interceptions through the W.P.I.A.L. final, returning two for touchdowns. Also a quality quarterback, with more than 1,000 yards passing.

Rocco Nicolino, Ridley, Sr., 5-9, 155. Best cornerback for District #1 playoff team Also has 400-plus receiving yards and eight touchdown catches.
Darron Perkins, Chester, Sr., 5-10, 170. Led Delaware County with seven interceptions. Also had 500 receiving yards and nine touchdowns. Delaware State showing interest.
Zach Pettis, Cedar Cliff, Sr., 6-2, 182. Excellent tackler as a safety. Had three interceptions. Is getting lower Division I interest.
Tim Ridewood, Interboro, Sr., 5-9, 170. Five interceptions for playoff team and 13 interceptions in last two years. Has run for 690 yards. Division III interest.
Oscar Rivera, Liberty, Sr., 5-9, 190. Posted 30 solo tackles, five assisted stops with team-high five interceptions in helping Liberty win the District #11 Class 4-(A) title. Also a standout on offense, catching 27 passes for 458 yards and three touchdowns; carried 22 time for 226 yards and five rushing TDs. Named first-team Lehigh Valley Conference. Has Division #I-AA offers from Hofstra, Richmond.
Doug Suhey, Sr., State College, 6-0, 190. Had 59 tackles, 4 interceptions, one fumble recovery and three passes defended entering District #3-6 Class (AAAA) quarterfinals. Several Ivy League schools showing interest.

Daniel Fisher, Central Dauphin, Soph., 6-1, 170. Kicked 10 field goals, including two game-winners on the game's final play in consecutive weeks, and 34 extra points. Had two 43-yard field goals.
David Soldner, Manheim Township. Kicked 11 field goals, including three from 48, 43, and 40 yards.
Alex Romanis, Upper St. Clair, Sr., 6-1, 170_Kicked eight field goals and 45 extra points through W.P.I.A.L. final.
Dan Kozak, Norwin, Sr., 5-11, 175.. Made five field goals. Also a running back, gaining 873 yards on 160 carries with seven TDs.
Justin Livingston, Glen Mills, Jr., 5-10, 180. Led Delaware County in kick-scoring points with 49. Had six field goals with long of 33 yards.
Jordan Waxman, Quakertown. Jr., 6-1, 160. Connected on 8 of 10 field goal attempts and 21 of 21 extra point attempts. Averaged 32.9 yards on 34 punts, with a long of 49 yards.
Bill Davidson, Delaware Valley, Sr., 5-8, 155. Led Scranton area with 59 kicking points. Had 53 extra-points for one of the top scoring teams in the conference. Also added two field goals, one of 29 against Wallenpaupack and one of 27 against Honesdale.

Joe Coyle, Penn Hills, Sr., 6-0, 255. Averaged 34.9 yards on 30 punts.
Geoff Greco, North Allegheny, Jr., 6-3, 200. Averaged 34.7 yards on 38 punts, with longs of 60 and 59 yards, and dropped 12 inside the 20. Also rushed for 446 yards and 4 touchdowns on 99 carries.
Marc Quilling, Parkland High, Sr., 6-4, 210. Averaged 30.58 yards on 19 attempts. Also started at quarterback and completed 63 of 101 passes for 942 yards with 13 touchdowns and two interceptions in Wing-T offense. Named first-team Lehigh Valley Conference as a punter, and is considered a Division #I-AA recruit at quarterback.
Tom Kondash, Sr., State College, 5-9, 175. Averaged 35.4 yards on 38 punts entering District #3-6 Class (AAAA) final. Also used as kickoff specialist. Second-team Mid-Penn Commonwealth punter and place kicker.

Tim Moncman, Bethlehem Liberty. Led team to the P.I.A.A. finals.
Gerad Novak, Conestoga Valley. After his team went 3-17 over the last two seasons, he guided CV to a Lancaster-Lebanon League Section 2 title and a District #3 (AAAA) playoff appearance. C.V. won its first round game against Muhlenberg before falling to Gov. Mifflin in the quarterfinals.
Jim Render, Upper St. Clair. Led team to the P.I.A.A. final after winning W.P.I.A.L. title.
Mick Vecchio, Gov. Mifflin, team was 1-10 in 2003, now they're 12-1 and in District #3/6-(AAAA) finals. Wins over Wilson (twice), Pottsville, Manheim Township.
Al Wolski, State College. Led team to 11-2 record and second straight berth in District# 3-6 Class (AAAA) final after losing 14 starters, 10 of whom played college football at some level this year.
