From a non-biased source (aka from neither Bedford or Ridge):

As I have been saying since November, Bedford has a team that goes without comparison in District 5. Neither Chestnut Ridge nor North Star (nor NBC) could have made any strategical moves to defeat Bedford this year. Barring any injuries or expulsions, Bedford should cruise to a dual meet district title. The individual tournament title should be a little closer, but I still believe Bedford will have the edge there as well. They will be heavily aided by their wrestlers fighting back through the consolations (in addition to several finalists).

Ah, an interesting point. That is why it was always nice to wrestle for a crappy team. I was generally able to get the best matches for me, because there was no worry of the affect it would have on the team score.

There is no questioning whether wrestling better competition makes you a better wrestler, but the concern is what comes first, the wrestlers as individuals or the team as a whole. Depending on who you ask, the answer will be different. School boards will likely answer different than fathers.

4-him, you might be in for a surprise. 2 years ago bedford beat northstar in a duel meet and n.s. won districts. last year ridge beat n.s. in the regular season and n.s'.won districts. n.s. should have a full team for districts this year and the coach's know now what matchups they want to make this a very close match.

I believe the score of the dual meets 2 years ago were closer than what they were this year.

20+ point gaps are pretty hard to overcome. If it done, then my hat is off and you are right, I will be surprised. Moves can be made, but so too can counter moves. Bedford is just too strong.
