I think we need a point system...since of course this is all for fun.

Maybe like ifyou risk the both the spread and the O/U you can get double the points...

1 point for taking O/U...or spread winner.

Or...is that too complicated?
And the last thing I must tell you...NEVER QUIT!

I agree with OG we should have some kind of points system to make this fun. Here is an idea:

You get 2 points for getting the over under and the line right on the same game. The thing is if you get 1 right and 1 wrong you get 0 for that game. But if you dont want to risk guessing both you can just pick on one or the other for 1 pt. You can pick on 3 games total for a day meaning 6pts are possible if u get both things on all 3 of your picks. See, the advantage to risking double or nothing would be you can get more points, but the risk is you could not get any. So some people may have 6 picks and others may only have 3,4,or 5 depending on whether they went double or nothing on a game.

If people like this idea just post saying you do and maybe we can do this next week if enough people like it. I will even keep everyone's scores and keep track of them throughout the season so all you have to do is pick. We also need approval from Dok that he likes the idea and will continue posting his lines and OU's. But hey sounds like fun to me!

Vman likes it....and considering my disclaimer that "I ain't no Math major"; I do not understand the incentive to pick o/u & the game line with the possiblity of garnering 2 points. But if you lose either you get Zip.
There would need to be incentive like: If you couple/parlay the O/U & game line & hit both > you get 3 points! Otherwise, one would be better off just choosing single game outcomes or stand alone O/U picks.

Make Sense?

Or as Opie put it: " if you risk the both the spread and the O/U you can get double the points..."

Regardless, however the points are tallied I'm not worried 'bout Op; my challenge is clearly with lhFAN......4for4 on maiden venture!!!

I will continue to set the lines but someone else must calculate the points.

It doesn't matter to the OG what the point system is. LHfan...if you are going to tally the points...you can decide on what the basis is.

I'll gladly accept the underdawg role.

I will tally the points.

Vman, this is what i was trying to explain about the double or nothing.

Here is an example: I can only pick on 3 games. I can either go spread and OU on all 3 or just one or the other on any game. So where you would be rewarded for picking both, would be that if you picked both on all 3 of your games, you would have a chance for 6 points, but if you only pick one or the other each game your max pts would be 3.
