P.I.A.A. Boys H.S. Playoffs "2007"............ Are You Ready ????????
The state playoffs begin on March 6th, 2007
Here is what it looks like across Pennsylvania for who is in and who is out for the ride to Penn State and the 2007 State Championship..........
Class (A) ("33" teams will qualify for the state tournament):
District #1 (Suburban Philadelphia) "2" spots available:
No information is available to us at this time.

District #2 (Scranton/Wilks-Barre) "2" spots available:
"4" teams are remaining for the ''2" spots. Those teams are Old Forge, Bishop Hannan, Bishop O'Reilly, and Bishop O'Hara

District #3 (Harrisburg/York) "4" spots available:
The "4" teams have been determined, but seeds will be played out this week. The qualfiers are: Greenwood, Scotland, Central Catholic, and Camp Hill.

"4" teams are remaining for the "3" spots. Those teams are: North Penn, St. John Newmann, Benton, and Mansfield

District #5 (Somerset / Bedford) "3" spots available:
"4" teams are remaining for the '3" spots.
Berlin and Rockwood have qualified for the state tournament and will play on March 2 at 8:00 pm at Pitt-Johnstown.
Who ever wins will be the #5-1 seed and will play the 4th seeded team from the W.P.I.A.L. at a District #5 site. & be blessed & given last rights, by a Catholic preist {in case of Homicide}...........
Whoever loses will be the #5-2 seed and will play the 3rd seeded team from the W.P.I.A.L. at a W.P.I.A.L. site. {& be dubbed un-holly of moving on}....
Shade and Conemaugh Township will play on February 27th at 7:00 pm at Shanksville HS for the #5-3 seed.
That game's winner will play in the Eastern half of the bracket.

The '4" teams have qualified and will play out for seeds this week. The teams are Bishop Guilfoyle, Saltsburg, Harmony, and Northern Cambria.
The #6-1 seed plays on the Eastern half of the bracket. {Oh My} !!!!!!!
The #6-2 seed plays the W.P.I.A.L. #5 seed in District #6. (That will be the loser of the championship game) Whew !!!!
The #6-3 seed plays the W.P.I.A.L. #2 seed in the W.P.I.A.L. {Yikes }!!!!

'4" of the '5" spots have been claimed and seeding will be determined this week.
The qualifiers are:
Serra Catholic, Leechburg, Clairton, and California.
The 5th spot will be determined by the W.P.I.A.L. Champion.
If Serra Catholic is champion, St. Joseph qualifies.
If Leechburg is champion, Western Beaver qualifies.
If Clairton is champion, Sewickley Academy qualifies.
If California is champion, Avella qualifies.
The #7-1 seed plays the District #9-4 seed in the W.P.I.A.L. {Maybe their bus will break down}????
