Today, Penn State women's basketball coach Rene Portland resigned, just like Jerry Dunne done.

What's going on up at Penn State? Jerry Dunne resigned after a couple of losing seasons. Portland resigns after 2 losing seasons. Seems a little unusual don't you think? Think they were told to "quit or be fired"? Looks a little bit better for PSU when coaches quit, instead of being fired. Always messy when a coach is fired. Alot of egg on faces. Look at Amaker at Michigan. Michigan had to give us the old "hardest decision we had to make" song and dance. No dancing when someone quits. Most coaches don't want to quit when their team hits a slump. You don't see DeChellis quitting after 4 non-winning seasons. I think they were pressured to quit.
