Well, I can almost guarantee Scirroto will only miss a few games, and I dunno about Baker, but I'd bet the rest of them get slaps on the wrist.

Here's the problem, gentlemen. This kind of stuff happens every season now at Penn State. You wanna know why? Because the head coach has no control over those players. I am of the opinion that a sports team is a direct reflection of their head coach. Weak leaders lead weak soldiers. I have been ranting for awhile about how these coaches are supposed to be not only winning titles but also molding boys into strong men. Paterno did that for over a generation, but the guy has completely lost touch with the players now. Take a look at who coached Miami when they were as rowdy as they were. Is it any wonder? If you have a strong enough leader, who knows compassion and when to get tough, this stuff doesn't happen. I understand the head coach doesn't have a tracking device for his players, but we're seeing patterns now. When the Cowboys search was on, I posted a blog about how I was a Cowboys fan and was completely disgusted by Parcells and Nick Saban quitting the jobs the way they did, through email and speaker-phone. That's not the man you want molding your kid during his impressionable years. You don't send Johnny to Alabama. A lot of these kids don't even have active fathers, and some don't even have active parents at all; this is the male role-model you want your kid having? It is disgusting to me how we glorify cowards in society nowadays. Don't even have the will to show up in person to announce a quitting. I am sickened and I am disgusted by Penn State letting that man run this program into the ground. Pull the plug already before this gets even worse. I pray for the day he leaves, and I pray that whoever gets hired has the will to lead men and shape men. This kids should fear that coach, and know that when they get nailed for doing something stupid, they are jeopardizing their futures. Either consiously, or unconsiously, those kids at PSU, because of past infractions being dismissed, think it'll blow over. This job, at this point in people's lives, is not just about recruits and football. Paterno knew that, and he lost it, and its time Penn State loses HIM.

I am not going to say this due to Joe Pa at all but if he does not punish this students properly i will. This can not be tolerated even it is your best players like it is. I personally feel all these players should be kicked off the team. Absolutely rediculous and absolutely embarrasing as a Penn State fan. Its time they really start cracking down on these players.

When it gets worse every year, there's a pattern. Gotta be a reason why those kids think they can get away with stuff; its because they look at the weak responses in the past.

According to Joe "Nobody Got Hurt" Paterno, everything was on the up and up during the fight. The players had just finished watching game films of their first opponent, Florida International. They watched the FIU-Miami game from last year and were just practicing for the game. No harm, no foul.

Scirrito and Baker should definitely be kick of the team for their actions, but King, hayes, sargeant and whoever else was there shouldnt be, but they should miss a few games. You guys are mostly correct, JoePa doesnt run this team like he use to, and i believe they do need a new coach. I believe the player will get what they deserve.

I sadly agree with Graduate. Man, I was really expecting Scirroto to be the best player on that defense this season. That kid could be a legitimate first round pick. Way to blow your future over what??? That's right, a female. Take notes, kids: play the field and avoid commitment!!!!

Yea I know scirrito was a really good player. He had an absolue break out year last year. Its a shame that he did this, from what i hear he was usually a well mannered good kid. He had a bright future, but sadly he is probably done.
