Re: Cruz Decommits
Can anyone tell me why the MINIMUM age to be President in the USA is 35 years old?

You Moldo some tribes make the Old man the chief, however the Inuit put there old men who no longer have value to the tribe on pieces of ice and let them float out to where ever the water takes them. Just something to think about.
But back to the Decommit. I personally don't know the reasons, i dont really care. But I do know Pitt is not gonna be rank top 25 any time soon. I also know that Pat White and Steve Slaton are only gonna be Juniors next year, although WVU did lose the best center in college ball last year i anticipate them to be decent for a good while. maybe hes looking to go to a better program?

Re: Cruz Decommits
So he just thought of THAT since he committed to Pitt? He said in his interview with Pantherlair that the major concern about Pitt was that his mom didn't like the urban setting. What's that have to do with football? He said NOTHING about actual football. By the way, are you sure that kids can take off school to go look at colleges? What if they go to see about a half a dozen of them? Can they miss 6 days of school? Also, Cruz did not go to VISIT a college. He visited the football coaches at WVU and toured their facilities. Big difference between that and a student going to see a place of higher learning. Also, how far in advance was this trip to WVU planned? He said after he decommitted to Pitt he went to WVU with HIS HIGH SCHOOL COACH. Like I said before, he didn't just show up at BM one day and say, "Hey. Anyone want to take me to WVU today?". It was planned, and the sad thing was it was planned BEFORE his decommittment to PITT. Sort of like a stab in the back, right? And this was NOT an official visit to WVU, just kind of like a sneaky peak thing.

Can we please stay on topic? Mike Cruz's mother decommitted from Pitt because Abdullah Wadley skipped an illegal practice to visit WVU on a school day.

You forget to mention that they rode to WVU in a Limo provided by A.W.'s "Sponsor".

You should have to wear that sponsor's logo on your jersey or clothes like they do in Nascar. I might sponsor a McCort kid myself if I know he'll be running around with my logo on his shirt all day, every day. Great way to advertise.

Now that is BRILLIANT.
I mean if you can advertise for kids to come to your school, why can't you advertise for yourself with the kids you are sponsoring? Just think of all the extra "Sponsorship" money this would open up.
Hey...I have a couple decent athlete of my own coming up through the ranks. Maybe this could help generate a "sponsorship" for one of them!

Re: Cruz Decommits
Now don't get all salty but Vman & the owner of a favorite Jtwn. establishment have talked of each sponsoring an athlete from the area grade schools. It's deductable and is obviously a great avenue for young men to pursue their HS education and who knows....per chance more college scholarships!!
Of course the student receives their financial aide (regardless of religious orientation) prior to tution determination making sponsoship more palatable!!!

Every day I wake up and look for the article in the newspaper that says that Shiloh BAPTIST has joined the Altoona-Johnstown ROMAN-CATHOLIC Diocese. I must just keep missing it.

Re: Cruz Decommits
Alright. Back to Cruz control. It had to happen. WV Sports Dot Com ran an article May 9 entitled "Cruz Rehabs, Visits Schools". Two great quotes by Cruz. "I definitely want to go to a school in a college town". And this one, "I want to go to a school that will make me a better man, spur me on as a person. All colleges can do that, that's what the official visits are for". Now tell me, what the H E Double hockey sticks does THAT mean? And..... if Chris Henry and Pacman Jones became better persons at WVU, what the heck were they like in high school?
