Frostlion: Where's the Sweat?

Post by The Ancient Enemy »

From now on, every time I need Frosty's assistance I am going to use that blue-face icon like its a Bat-signal.

Andrew Sweat is naming his final 3 choices this week. I am requesting Frostlion's inside info on whether Penn State is in the mix.

And Frosty comes through. I saw the signal, and had to run home from Court Street from drinking with Frank Solich to respond in a timely manner.

Andrew said his "top schools in no particular order" are Ohio State, Michigan, Notre Dame, Penn State, Pitt, Florida, and Michigan. Iowa is also recruiting him, but at the safety position, so they are pretty much gone. OSU is offering him any of the three LB positions. His parents, Gary and Cheryl, supposedly do not pressure him about his choice, but want him to stay close to home so they can attend his games (this is all public info, btw).

My best guess from reading the tea leaves on FOS: this will end up an OSU / PSU battle, with ND possibly in the mix. Even if PSU does not get him, there are 3 or 4 LB prospects that PSU is in with that are just as good if not better.

I shall return.

Frostlion is a great man. Great hero. Great man of knowledge and mystery.

That's me.

I still think Michigan might have a shot in this mix from everything I've "heard". I still get that OSU vs. PSU feeling though. The staff thinks they are in good with him. Take it for what it's worth.

Also, supposedly, an "elite" linebacker prospect has committed to the PSU staff. No name given, but it's either Sweat or Zordich.

Also I think PSU only takes on one "true" RB in this class.....AJ Alexander is being recruited as a potential RB/WR and is going to attend the Notre Dame and Ohio State games this year.

In the above post I meant Alexander, not Sweat or Zordich.

Have two questions for ya:

1. What did Manuel say about how PSU recruits, and why did it bother him?

2. There's a link on Rivals that goes nowhere, that says "PSU Looking at TX Athlete". Do you know who this kid is and where he is from? I am very interested in this, for a few reasons.

If you know any of this let me know. Or else just tell me to sign up for my own websites and shut up. haha
