Pitt Passing Camp
was down at the UPMC complex this past weekend for the passing camp.
There were two teams from the Johnstown area in Richland and McCort. I thought they both did well against the pittsburgh teams. Pecora didnt play for Richland and Cruz didnt suit up for McCort both due to injuries they are still recovering from or just precautionary measures.
There were 40 teams down there and even though the competition looked down from previous years there were still some studs down there in LB Shayne Hale of Gateway and OSU commit Andrew Sweat out of Trinity High.
Now my question...why are more teams in this area not willing to go to these camps to help improve themselves?? obviously just going to these camps won't necessarily mean success for a team come fall but it certainly helps by playing against the Pittsburgh Central Catholics and Gateways.
Also, you could definately tell the level of intensity between PCC/Gateway compared to other schools (McCort, richland other schools there as well).
PCC and Gateway had two hard fought games. But the level of emotion in these games was astonishing when comparing it with mccort's, richland's and other's emotion in their games. It's something to think about.
