I agree with that TAE. I never said I liked the way they ranked teams or totally agreed with them. I am just trying to justify why we are seeing the movement we are. Voters clearly like what some conferences have done over others and they are rewarding them accordingly. This is why in the end, I am personally always a bigger NFL fan. You can't beat a playoff system and you don't have to rely on the opinions or agendas of the voters. The pageantry, rivalries, and history of college football is absolutely awesome, but when you have a quasi-postseason that is so money and agenda driven theres going to be problems.

The biggest reason the playoff system works so well in the NFL is the difference between the best NFL team and the worst is probably around 20-25 points. Whereas, in college football the difference between the best team and the worst is probably 60-70 points. Therefore, the ranking systems are needed so there is not teams playing 10 of the worst 20 teams a year and playing for a national championship.

The current ranking system, as TEA said, is a joke.

Comparisions are made for one reason......to compare, who said that the NFL and NCAA were the same thing?

Words like.......'like' allow us to do this.

Thanks C2I

Wouldn't a top 25 poll released by the Vegas oddsmakers be interesting to see?

Who would the double digit underdog at home be?

Penn State is -7 over Wisky....
Personal pick of the week: Illinois -6 @ Iowa, I'm not playing it, just really stuck out to me.
