Six years of Division 1 running backs...

Post by sportsfan1000 »

and all Johnstown could muster is one district championship. Anyone out here close to the program have any insight as to why they stumble? Is it coaching?

I read something like 8 things have to happen for Jtwn to make the playoffs. Pretty bad that they will be 7-3 and not make the playoffs. Does it make sense for them to bail out of the Laurel Highlands and try to join the MAC where they could play more AAA teams?

By the way, the eight things that have to happen:

Johnstown beats Penn Cambria
Forest Hills beats Karns City (not happening)
Bedford beats Chestnut Ridge
Central Cambria beats Somerset
Bellefonte loses to Bald Eagle (not happening)
Philipsburg beats Huntingdon
Penns Valley beats Clearfield
Indian Valley beats Lewistown

Talk about backing into the playoffs if that happens.

Football is a team sport...Johnstown has awesome athletes but they usually have a hard time comming together. And all you have to do is look at the records of the teams in the LHAC that out-work their way to the top...

Actually, Somerset's likely draw in the playoffs is Hollidaysburg whose enrollment (grades 9-11) is 532 boys, just 9 away from the lower boundary of 541 for AAAA. Somerset's enrollment (grades 9-11) is 376 which is similar to the other District 6 AAA schools (371 - 420), with the exception of Huntingdon (312), who is a AA playing up in the AAA division.

With that in mind, it would make sense for bigole 77 to shut his piehole until he actually dresses for a game, much less plays.
If you don't know where you're going, you'll probably end up somewhere else.

Oh I see. So the fact that you were on the sidelines in street clothes during the Heights game is simply a matter of "getting your rest" for the important game to come. Is that where you were all of last year? Getting your rest?
