Re: Is it time for a change at Ridge?
I think Wilkins has done an excellent job with the cards he was dealt when he took over. The Jobber that was there before ran the program into ruins. I think the big thing is its hard to get up for tyrone and mccort when you play down all year like Everett and Tussey, but i do understand the problems with scheduling and such!

CRSOCCR,
The first two years they played in the LHAC against teams of similar size (AA) and didn't win. After that they played in a conference that consisted primarily of smaller schools (A) and won. In the playoffs against schools of similar size (AA) they are 0-5. Do you consider that acceptable?[/quote]
To be clear, When Ridge played in the LHAC there were AAA schools as well. And Ridge has played plenty of AA games in its past 5 year playoff stint or at least schools that are +/- 20 students for classification. You don't see Penn State play Top ranked teams every week!!! So whats wrong with Ridge getting a couple of "gate" Games each year?
My favorite part about the whole discussion is that people really think head coaches get a say in scheduling. its all AD and School Board.

Re: Is it time for a change at Ridge?
I know that coaches do not have anything to do with the scheduling however, when u play tussey nb and everett, then u have to go up and play pennsvalley and bedford its tough to play up for a couple weeks. Point is you guys are AA so play a AA schedule. Image if Bedford played an ICC schedule it would get ugly, however, they dont Ridge could play in the LH but they choose not to for some reason even though their enrollment is almost the size of bedford or even more students for that matter
Re: Is it time for a change at Ridge?
CR played dang good with McCort....if they would of kept playing, the game would have been closer....CR should not change much...they had alot of talent this year....they just need to put more time into their defense and see what type of athletes they have to work with..thats it...nothing really drastic neds done here

Cambria Heights played McCort tough for the first half. They didn't deserve to be in the playoffs.
Many that attended the FH/McCort game would argue that FH won 3 out of 4 quarters. FH didn't deserve to be in the playoffs.
That fact is that Cheasnut Ridge is no better today, than they were when they left the LHAC. You put just about any LHAC team with Ridge's schedule...they'll make playoffs every year and get blasted in the playoffs. Because they don't belong in the playoffs...period.
I've ripped Ridge for this for years...
Their program is a joke. Period. And the problem is much deeper than the coaching staff.

And the last thing I must tell you...NEVER QUIT!
Re: Is it time for a change at Ridge?
good point....im just saying they dont always get romped in the playoffs...everyone should have a good first half and a great second half....CR came out and tied it 15-15 on the opening drive of the second quarter....then they just let go of it....they can stick with teams in play-offs....its just some of the play calling that i don't agree with...they just need to work with what they have....one day they're gonna be good
