PREDICTION TIME

Post by voncap »

Surprised no one has posted this yet. All you college football fans out there know that ESPN has amassed a list of the 25 greatest college players of all time. This week Roger Staubach was released as No. 9. How about everyone's prediction of the top eight.

Here is my list:

8. Barry Sanders
7. Doug Flutie
6. Paul Horning
5. Marcus Allen
4. Bo Jackson
3. OJ Simpson
2. Herschel Walker
1. Tony Dorsett

I think I saw that Bo was #8.

I know it is "now" to say Vince Young, but that guy was ranked at 10 I believe. The guy did more for a team than any player I've ever seen. They were good for sure, but that guy was just unreal the year they won the title.

I'll agree totally with Von Cap's top three. No question that in my lifetime they were the 3 biggest impact college players....can barely remember OJ as a collegian but from all I read and was told shortly threafter he changed the game.

Dorsett and Walker were the greatest backs, Dorsett was more speed and cutting while Walker was power. Both meant a lot to their respective national championship teams but like VonCap I give the nod to Dorsett.

3. Simpson
2. Walker
1. Dorsett
