Alamo Bowl.
Tickets went on sale today, all the cheap seats are already gone. Keep in mind that there is no opponent named yet. Thank you, idiot fans, for buying the cheap seats before you know whether or not your team (Tech or A&M) is in the dang game or not. Now, 32 dollar seats are gone and the scheapest ones are 52. I am not driving 5 hrs and paying 52 dollars to see Justin King make an **** out of himself covering Michael Crabtree. So, its nice to know that I am in Texas, Penn State is in a Texas bowl game, and I can't go. Thank you.

Re: Alamo Bowl.
Don't accept, PSU. With Ohio State going to National Championship and Michigan to the Rose, there has to be a better one out there.

Re: Alamo Bowl.
Why did they accept this bid before a decision on one or two teams to the BCS is made? Looks like Illinois could now get a 2nd BCS berth with OSU now in the Title game and Wisky (already accepted) and now Mich will get the other two New Years Day bids.

Re: Alamo Bowl.
Well they accepted the bid, but do they have to keep it?

Re: Alamo Bowl.
They were basically told they weren't going to be the choice no matter what.
I also think you have to be within 1 game of a team ahead of you to pass them. Mich had 2 B10 losses and PSU had 4 so PSU couldn't be picked above them.

Re: Alamo Bowl.
Well that's different than what a PSU fan told me a couple weeks ago....before the MSU debacle when they felt their stock would be highly elevated due to "fan base" and that Big 10 schools could be picked whenever, that it didn't go by the standings.
And, if your theory is true, then the Alamo couldn't have been the choice no matter what.....WVU or Mizzou win and OSU is in the Rose, Illinois drops to the Capital One and Mich....via your rule you pointed out would have had to be selected ahead of PSU for the Alamo?
