There is no dirt on these players that have done an outstanding job. The fact is that when they decided where they were going to play football mccort had a consistent proven winning team. Westy had under achieved, and its better to be helping a great team prepare to be district champs than it is to be a superstar on a sub par team.

dudes, both kids went to catholic school starting in 1st grade. They never made a switch from public to catholic...westy never had them in the first place.

1. Dave Seidel <---no way he'll leave
2. JD Jones
3. Jeremy Burkett / Kevin Sheridan
4. Wes Swiam <---article in the Trib made it sound like he won't be doing any coaching for awhile.

yea, those are definately some good ones. Aside from the BC coach and Dugan (both i dont know much about) I'd say those are some good choices who can be thrown into the mix as well

T.J. Sheehan would be an excellent in-house candidate. He definitely has the mind and the make-up for the job.
If you don't know where you're going, you'll probably end up somewhere else.

Anybody that follows Johnstown football can tell you that Tony Penna Jr. and Neil Cobaugh are two of the absolute worst coaches in the area. Please, please take them from us. Anybody!

Someone made a earlier post about JHS having 8 yrs. of Division 1 running backs and not winning much of anything. That should tell you everything you need to know about the coaching at JHS. One district championship in a very small and weak class AAA.

I almost wish JHS had some parents like Westmont who constantly run their coaches out because someone needs to run these two bums out.

As the old saying goes, "Don't critcize a man until you have walked a mile in his shoes."

Do you receive the "Our Town" newspaper in the mail? Coach Sam Zambinin, Conemaugh Township High School, had a great New Years Resolution listed in that paper. His resolution: "To ignore those people in the bleachers that don't watch all the film that I watch, that don't work all summer, and don't attend every practice like I do.!"

You have no idea what these two have put into coaching at JHS.

It is amazing the amount of points they were able to put on the board considering they had an inexperienced QB and could not throw the ball effectively. Everyone in the stadium knew Reed was getting the ball, yet they found creative ways to get it done.

You want to get rid of them so bad? This summer, will you drive around the city knocking on doors to make sure that kids report to summer workouts? Will you drive around the city knocking on doors in August to make sure kids report to camp?

Will you write hundreds of letters and sends hundreds of tapes to colleges hoping to get your kids an education?

Will you take a kid on a college visit because his parents won't or can't do it? Will you drive a kid to college to report for the first day of college or football camp because his parents won't or can't?

Will you be there to accept the phone call from a college coach letting you know that one of your former players is struggling with the adjustment to college life? Will you then drive to that college to visit with your former player to make sure everything is alright?

Will you go pick up the kid at college so he can come home on Christmas break?

Will you help find your former players another school to attend when the college they are attending drops football?

When you are ready to do all these things for about $.25 (twenty-five cents) an hour, spend countless hours away from your family, work in the summer while not receiving a paycheck? Then by all means, send your letter of application to the Superindtendent.

I'm so sick and tired of the same old company line i hear all the time from coaches. "You have no idea how much time we put in." Blah blah blah. Well, that's the job. Guess what, I put in just as much time in my line of work that they do in theirs so please don't use that as an excuse. Everybody knows that coaching involves more than just X's and O's. So just because these guys do what just about every other HS coach in the country does, let us not pat these guys on the back like they are saints.

You have got to be kidding me when you say they found creative ways to put points on the board. IT HAD EVERYTHING TO DO WITH THE KIND OF PLAYER ANTWAUN REED IS AND NOT ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE COACHING. I'll say this, Antwaun had a great year despite those morons. I cant believe your actually giving credit to those guys for what Antwuan has done.
