This year mccort took the conference and the district for the 2nd year in a row, and the way things look, i see them making it 3

Way to early to tell, they have some serious shoes to fill. Intersting enough, so do a lot of other teams in the LHAC. Im curious to see how FH responds..

mccort has a great football team and great tradition but i felt there was some mccort bias in the all-area selections

How so? The area leader in INTs, Passing Yards, Wr Yards, and Tackles...Strong enough argument for Lowry, Defrances, Varga, and S. James I think?

Can someone explain why "Tight End" isnt one of the positions? Oh because they use 3 Wrs instead of 2...IF you want to make the best "Team", you should have 2 Wrs, 1 QB, 1 Rb, 1 Fb, 5 Linemen, and 1 Tight End; however, this is just a fictional team in an attempt of trying to shed the spotlight around and I think the tribune does a great job organizing it year in and year out...

Well i didnt see too much bias...When you are the best team in the area you deserve to have the most players on the first team not to mention.........


Jordan DeFrances was 2nd in the State in passing soo that defines itself
Matt Varga was the number 1 wide receiver in the State and if he isnt first team all state there is something terribly wrong!!!

But the way the all area team is set up is stupid....i think they just should name 25 players and say here were the best players in the area rather then just throwing in players at their off position like Lowry and Pecora because they were more known for their offensive play rather then being DB's

sorry but his stats def. dont put him in the top 25 on offense or defense and he wasnt an outstanding blocker either...I watched him on film a couple of times and he does alright against smaller kids but against kids his own size he had some trouble...Im not trying to talk down on him or anything but people should get credit if they deserve it..its not about how big you are.

Honestly, if saying "not Cruz" more than 5 times isnt talking down on someone Im not sure what is...

Id like to see him go 1 on 1, O or D, with any lineman they played and he'd more than likely win that battle.

Did Cruz line up against Istanich or Blackwell? Blackwell seems to be this years Brezovic from Johnstown. I am also surprised Cruz was not selected for the all state team? Is he playing big 33 or East west?
