Look at it this way, in most high school games teams score between 10 and 20 points in a quarter most of the time. So if your down 16 with 4 minutes to go, the only chance you have is if the other team gives you the game by constantly missing shots and turning the ball over. I'm not saying it can't happen but I've never seen anyone come back from 16 with 4 to go in the game in a high school basketball game.

I am shocked that a LHAC big fan wouldnt know that Bedford did just that against Penn Cambria this year and forced the game into 2 overtimes. Yes Bedford lost but it proves you CAN indeed do it (with a bad team to boot). As bad as Bedford was this year they were certainly capable of doing this impossible feat that you (the LHAC big fan) has never seen done. Imagine that. Plus at the end of a close game you start fouling and the clock stops, so alot of times teams miss foul shots with the clock stopped which give the other team a chance to score and without losing precious time. The end of the 4th quarter (in a close game) is no way close to a typical high school basketball quarter.

I saw BG pull this impossible feat off last year against Altoona. It may not have been with 4 minutes left in the 4th but they were down something in the neighborhood of 30 points at the half and came back to beat 'Toona. That was with Betar.

BG beat Altoona again tonight.... They must really come to play against the Mt. Lions because I didnt see them having any chance in this game, especially after seeing what Gowen did to BG earlier in the week, I thought that Lytle would dominate and that BG would have no defensive answer because they couldn't slow Gowen down at all on Tuesday night... Nice win for BG heading into the playoffs. Now let's get back to the topic of the playoffs since they start on Monday. I can't see anyone competing with BG in single A, they should win that bracket easily but the other two are up for grabs.

What's up with Harmony?? Do they have a shot? I saw them play early in the year and seem to be dangerous.

I say BM in Dub A
CC in Trip A
State High Quad A

Single A is a ?? for me. I know BG knocked of 'Toona this eve but I am still not sold on either of those two teams. I mean Altoona is actually not the power they used to be. They do have a couple studs. But not near last year. And BG had a tough time with Bedford (both times) who is at the bottom of the LHAC. Heights gave them everything they could handle as well. Alot of their games were close this year it seemed. So I am not sure that BG is now the fav since they knocked off a Quad A school. I am sure they will be tough to beat though. I can honestly say that I dont know much of the A schools other than BG and Harmony.

Wait till next year when BM is single A!

Harmony has a decent team, but probably can't compete with BG... They will probably face each other in the semifinals so we will see then if Harmony is for real or not. All I know is that they are a run and gun team that scores alot of points, but that is against lower caliber teams.

Yeah, and I think Harmony has a lot of "individuals" and BG is the epitomy of a TEAM. If they two would meet, my $ is on BG.
Will Baker be back for BG next year?

I can't really see Westmont or Heights winning it... McCort would have to get beat by one of the two and I don't think it will happen. Westmont would have the best chance of knocking out BM but with the Crushers having alot of playoff experience from last year and Westy and Heights having none, it would take a great game to beat McCort. Westmont should beat Blairsville easily and face BM but I dont think Heights will even win their first game against the Philipsburg-Central winner....

O.K. Saw the brackets, feeling like instagating so here's my picks
AAAA- 'Toona
AAA- CC over H-don in the finals
AA- Tyrone
A- BG +15 over the field
Kinda funny, Not a private school to be found in the top 10 in AAAA boys or girls, but they dominate with over 50% of the top 10 in boys and girls in A and AA.
