Westmont not wresting for 3rd place is like a 5 year old saying.... I'm going home and I'm taking my bat and ball with me.
Grow up WESTMONT!!!!!!!
Yes ... you crying about WH's REACTION, not about the call. Would a picture help?

longball5: I really don't know that much about wrestling. So I asked a SIMPLE question. Does Westmont get credited for a loss on their record for not wrestling for 3rd/4th in the district dual meet tournament? Obviously you don't know the answer, so maybe someone out there does.

hey Moldo, after reading many of your posts, it's nice to see you don't know something...

I believe I answered your question...I also asked one of my own....

El-Moldo...

everyone on the WH squad recieves a loss. The Final Score was Huntingdon 84 WH 0...so the coach ended up not only putting himself in jeopardy, but the rest of his wrestlers when it comes seeding time, bc a lot of their wrestlers wouldn't have lost (Hough, Kushner, Dumire, Keklak, Polochek, Brant)...interesting huh?

Oh yeah, D-6 and PIAA could put WH on probation still, which means they won't be allowed to compete at Individual Districts this weekend. And D-6/PIAA could give their word as late as Thursday night, kinda how Richland found out they couldn't go to state duals two years ago...Just some more food for thought.

Why is it that in wrestling, teams still have regular season matches after the playoff duals? In every other sport after the playoffs, your done. Is it just to keep the kids wrestling and staying in shape for the individual tournament? Thats the only reason I can think of.

I'm not so sure about the individuals on Westmont receiving losses...who's to say who would be entered at weight classes.....team loss--yes...individual losses--I'm not sure that can be done.....too many variables...

Thats what I was told. Everyon who wrestled against MT Union recieved a loss for the Beaujon-Trained grapplers. Maybe it's just hearsay, who knows. Regardless, it was classless to leave the tournament. My rundown of FH/WH

103- Hough dec Gallaher 3-0 WH
112- Dorian dec Gallaher 6-0 WH
119- Fogel dec Kushner 6-3 WH
125- Gallaher dec Bruce 6-6
130- Cardon dec Goodwin 9-6 FH
135- McVicker dec Dumire 12-6 FH
140- Keklak fall Brewer 12-12
145- Polochek fall Bopp 18-12 WH
152- Brant dec Roberts 21-12 WH
160- Oshaben fall Johns 21-18 WH
171- Merriman fall Hostetler 27-18 WH (Thats all WH will score)
189- Martin dec Duplin 27-21 WH
215- Shaffer fall Colbaugh 27-27
285- Glessner fall McDonald 33-27 Mighty Rangers

I gave WH 2 of the 3 tossups (103, 152) and FH (125).. gave WH falls at 140, 145, and 171...I think FH would pull this one out...

WH needs better heavyweights to contend for a title!..remember that for next year boys
