Re: 2007 Track Season
well said, grad and psufootball.
big ol' 7who, sorry guy, but unless your name is brad kanuch, aj alexander, or carly seymour, which we all know for a fact you are not, you have no right to talk yourself up like you do. If one of the 3 people i previously mentioned did that on this board, i would respect it because they can actually back up their talk with numbers and state medals/championships...
exactly who are you anyway and why do you and your ego think you are so dang good??

BO 77 is not worth the trouble. He's not even a track & field athlete. He's just a frequently injured, back-up lineman in football.
If you don't know where you're going, you'll probably end up somewhere else.

pennstatefootballfan, i like the username, but c'mon man, this is a free message board. It wouldn't serve a purpose if not for the occassional dissing. Overall this is a good place to talk about sports, but you can't read any board without one person "pounding their chest" via a keyboard and talking themselves up/dissing another. It's to be expected, seriously.

Re: 2007 Track Season
Let's put this into perspective then forget about this thread and move on to 2008. Last fall, after the 2007 track season was over, bigole#77 came on here and said, among other things,
This was added after a perfectly reasonable conversation about the 2007 season. Since I know who this guy is (and know that he has never been out for track in Junior or Senior High) I was compelled to put his comments up against his lack of actual accomplishments. In my opinion, anyone who makes these kinds of comments doesn't deserve respect.yes walter4 in the special olympics good call. the dang speical olympic athletes are much more of a dang athlete youll ever be ya aint nothin an yer never gonna amout to anything its ok mcdonalds will have a job for you after high school dont worry boy
fact 1.ya aint **** an youll never amount to **** ya suck at sports an life in general
fact 2.who gives a hell if ya gradguated college already
fact 3.does yer job involve takin it up the ****?
1.i dont givea hell who ya are
2.sorry boy commited to florid state
3.ya aint nothin

If you don't know where you're going, you'll probably end up somewhere else.

Re: 2007 Track Season
Back to track talk...
CC Boys have a very viable shot at a team title. They are very strong in many respects, with their one blaring weakness being their distance runners. It all really comes down to Phil Steinberg and his performance. If they can get him up to shape, he will get CC crucial points in at least one or two of the distance events...as for Richland, they have the same problem. They are an overall good team, but without Troy and Travis Lees dominating everything from 400 up(including relays), I'm not sure if they have what it takes to do what they can. A sleeper team(well, kind of) may be returning team champions Bellwood-Antis...they usually seem to pull together some good throwers and sprinters, and they have one of the best middle distance runners(Ben Hatch) in the state to anchor their distance team.
Other potential top teams, in my view:
Bedford: Matt Henry and Drew Bollman will dominate in the 400 up to the mile, and participate in some good relays...can they pull together anything else?
Bishop McCort: The power of McCort rests on the shoulders of all-state track and cross country runner Jim Spisak....with all-state cross country runners Andy Luksik and Mike Garver behind him, McCort will surely dominate distance events...with a little help from the rest of the team, McCort could potentially be a threat.
