d 5 is weak as they as ever been . the wrestlers are not mean enough they wrestle like it is pratice.

I can not say that it was the best weekend for D5, but to say that they are WEAK just ,maks me very angry. There were many weight classes that were very tight! So many overtime matches and close matches by one point or two. Alot of matches could have gone either way, I know for a fact that my son wrestled his butt off an he gave it everything that he had as well as alot of other wrestlers! Thereare always going to be some wrestlers that should have made it out and don't but not all had adissappointing showing. Just remember the hard work that they put into the sport!!! No wonder alot of wrestlers won't even read the crap on here!

To say the district is weak is not singling out any athlete or saying they do not work hard or give 110%. It is just to say the depth in numbers and experience from our small area makes it difficult year in and year out to compete with District 7. Having watched and participated in wrestling it comes in cycles. Only 4 teams in D5 are currently competitive, NBC, CR, NS and BHS. That is not enough to compete with the 60+ schools in the WPIAL, especially with Shady Side and their ability to recruit.
