oh the Pirates....

Post by Coach »

Tonight makes three games in a row where they have allowed at least 10 runs.

I think I might puke.

It's only going to get worse, Coach. At least the draft is on Saturday and you can look forward to who the Steelers draft.

The only ones to blame for this horrid playing is those of us who for seven dollars go out and watch these dumbs play. As long as they keep making some profit, the management will never have to make any real decisions. The problems for the Buccos are so large it is not even funny to speak of them. They have the second best stadium in baseball and they are by far the worst team. There is no player on that team minus maybe McLouth or the Xman that is worth even 1/16th of what they are getting paid. They should cut the whole team and move everybody from Indy up to the majors.

It is definitely enough to make you puke. A bunch of bums that I have wasted at least 7 nights this year watching. Join the buccos boycott and refuse to enjoy watching these jackasses get killed for the rest of the season.

This year, I resolved to more closely follow the Pirates, like I did in my younger days. I knew going in they would be lucky to even approach a .500 record. However, their level of play has been below even my low expectations. It's disgusting.

Oh I remember the days just a few weeks ago when they actually won 4 games in a row even with 3 position players hitting way under the Mendoza line. You can't tell me they don't have a 1st and/or 3rd basemen any worse than the tow they are currently playing.

If the "new" management wants to prove they want to win; they should eat the 9+ million and cut Morris. Yeah I know, it's the dollars, but what good are you doing giving up at least 7-9 runs every 5th day? They have more problems than just Morris, but if they proved to the players that they want it to be different, the rest might play a little harder. the last 6 games have been embarassing to say it politely.

It does not matter if you go to the games. The Yankees pay for the Pirates payroll and some. They are profitable whether you show up or not. Just take a look at the Marlins, whom are actually in first place. Also, that seems to happen to them a lot. Maybe the Pirates need to look at what they trade for. It is all garbage. Where is there Hanley Ramirez? Where is there Josh Beckett? Where is there Dontrelle Willis? They will never have them because they can't judge talent in the minor leagues. Even the Curve are terrible, so where are you going to get your talent?

I don't know what to think, the Bucs have pulled off 5 in a row and are two games within being .500.
