I know you seemingly have all sorts of time on your hands and you love to look at recruiting, etc.
I'm not going to do the research but I figured you might since you love this stuff. How about taking a look at this year's first round picks in the NFL draft to see how many stars they had coming into college? I'd just like to see what the results are.

actually...found a lot of the info here http://nfldraft.rivals.com/nfldraft.asp?Round=1 by clicking on the guys. Lots of 4-5 star guys in the top 10...after that there are a lot of 2-3 star guys rounding out round 1.
