BCS Meeting.
Down in sunny south Florida, the elitists that run the BCS are theoretically talking about a plus-one. A few problems stand in the way of that. You know what a big one is? It has to be a unanimous vote. The Big Ten and Pac-10 have already said they are against it. Isn't it funny how the Big Ten and Pac-10 don't play conference championship games. Tell me: is it easier to NOT play a conference title game and only have to play Oregon and UCLA, or is it easier to play another guaranteed game in the SEC that is pretty much the equivalent of what the national title should be, anyways? Unbelievable. If Ohio State or USC had to play a conference title game each year to get into those national title games, are they playing for national titles? Ohio State and USC are the proof in the pudding, fellas. They don't want to have their easy route to the BCS title be hampered.
I can solve this really quickly. You force the parasite of college football, Notre Dame, a school that is the epitome of everything that is wrong with today's game, you force them to join the Big Ten or the Big East where they belong. That makes 12 teams in the Big Ten and they need to play a title game. You pull up a few schools and you force the Big East to play a title game. You do away with ALL bids and let those bowls pick their own teams. Then you play a plus-one until it is down to a science. Then, 5-10 years later, you open it up to a straight-up playoff. It's really not all that difficult.

That's precisely what I've been a proponent of for years!!
It would solve the national championship dilemma....go 1 step further and week after ALL Conferences have a championship, and play the QF's.....Big East vs ACC, SEC vs Wild Card or "other" conference, Big 10 vs Big 12, PAC-12 (Add BYU and Utah) vs Wild Card or "other" conference.
Semifinals NY Day with College Super Bowl to follow 10-14 days later.
