Its funny, mccort was in a "world of trouble once O'Connor, Spangler etc left", yet they still had a good year. What team is even going to have a dominant Center/Forward that is going to be that hard to defend?? Westmont didnt have one last year and won the District, seems like it doesnt take a dominant C/F to do it, rather good "D" and shooting.

P.S. Lakers, told ya to back off of BM a while back otherwise it'd seem like you were a Hater. Doesnt matter what you say about them, but every other one of ur posts on here is anti-mccort...

Vman, you can comprehend what I'm saying however you want to. However that is nowhere near what I said, nor what I meant. Why did I not mention FH? Like I said the conversation was about BM, the post was about BM, I didn't bring it up. I think a few of you need to stop whining about people "hating" on BM on a sports forum, that is after all what it's for, not so we all can agree on how great the Crushers are. I'm entitled to my opinion; however, I feel like every post I make freedom of speech gets taken away a little more.

DWG, Good point but McCort brought in quality big men almost every season, that's what's really going to hurt them. And what centers? How about Holsinger, Zabo from PC, Vescovi at 6'10'' just to name a few. My point was that McCort has no one to match up with them, so I guess I'm a hater.

Back off of BM? How about you literally 'Back off' of them. If every thread on this forum wasn't about BM and all of you on their balls so to speak, then maybe every negative post wouldn't be either. No one complains about all of your shots at Richland (as well as other schools), or when Vman makes continuous remarks towards not only the students at FH but the entire community, but whenever someone says anything remotely negative about anything BM it is like a felony.

This is the last time I will address this, any further comment on this in the future I will simply ignore.
And for the last time to DWG, Vman, Nraw, No one is "hating" on Bishop McCort, we just don't all love the school like the 3 of you do.

FH BASKETBALL REPORT (as asked for by Vman)

The rangers return
PG Luke G
SG Brett O
SF Scott M
C Thomas

That's about as much as I know, besides the fact that they are coming off of a season where they didn't make the playoffs, nor did they a year before that, and no one has been talking about them. Kind of hard to be "down abit next year" after the 2 previous if you ask me.

Has Vescovi grown 3-4 inches since February? Lakerfan said he was 6'10. I thought when I saw him he was around 6'6 or 6'7. I am sure the game program had him at 6'8 or 6'9 but in all actuality he was 6'7 at best.

I think that McCorts defensive pressure and shooting will take away any "big man" presence another team may have. McCort has been outsized alot in the past but seem to still win those games. Height means NOTHING! It's whoever outhustles/outworks the other team.
Beachercoaches has a new stocker. abpk2903

I don't know if you're drunk or unintelligent. You know you spelled "stocker" wrong on your signature though right, dummy? KirkHerbstreit

McCort was "undersized" maybe once in the last 5 years and it was only because cruz was down with an injury during the 07 season. Even that year they still had plenty of big body's inside. Defensive pressure or no defensive pressure, the battle in the paint is where games are won and McCort has done that tremendously in the past years and even more so this year. Not sure on the exact height of Vescovi, but I do know he is a very skilled center and my point was who will McCort have to guard him?

Heightsbball, I won't be surprised if they make it, but I also won't be surprised if they don't. The Laurel Highlands is a very tough conference, just ask your football buddies who haven't won a game in a few years.

I dont recall Westmont having a dominant post presence when they went undefeated through the regular season. They played excellent zone and shot lights out. Long shots = long rebounds. Their players flew to the ball and out hustled their way for rebounds. Although some of you on here are concerned for BM 08-09, I dont think anyone else is.

Westmont rarely played zone under Roman.
