The Ridge players that showed up for the football combine at Tussey Mtn. yesterday said McDannell wasn't there because he had something more important to do. Maybe he was studying.......

Tussey won the team title. If I remember correctly (don't euthanize me if I'm wrong on any of these) Tomovich from Ridge won shuttle agility, a kid from Mt. Union won bench, a Tussey kid won Squat, Albright from NBC won 40 yard dash, a kid from Tussey won the tire flip, and I don't remember who won vertical leap and medicine ball. Ridge kids said McDannell could've easily won bench, but if you're not there.....

Here's what you guys need to do. Get ahold of your buddy AJ and have him contact this kid. Have AJ explain to this kid that he has the ability to get his secondary education paid for by athletics. Explain to him that the work ethic he develops right now will pay off exponentially in a few years, and that he has a real opportunity he needs to take advantage of. If that kid blows off his advice, IT IS HIS OWN FAULT THAT HE WORKS AT THE SUNOCO IN OSTERBURG.

I really don't think that's going to do any good. He does what he wants to and it comes to a point when a kid needs to make his own decisions and choose wisely.
