i love it when pitt fans crap on penn state basketball, even though pitt football is at like the same level

Pitt football is at a much higher level...Pitt may have lost to OhioU a few years back...but PSU men's basketball lost to STONY BROOK...AT HOME...

Talk to me about how PSU men's hoops is at the same level as Pitt's football team when PSU's men's hoops team beats the #1 team in the nation (ie-Kansas or North Carolina, etc.) on their home court (13-9 rings a bell, right?)

Pitt's football team should be looking at a decent year this season. I have seen McCoy going as high as top 5 next year in the NFL Draft. That is some serious talent on running back. Pitt should win at least 8 games and go to a bowl game this year.

ok...you do not understand...even with down years of pitt football, theres still tradition that brings in great players.


penn state basketball is the complete opposite...who cares, it was exhibition. going back to quality players, penn state had probably 5-6 that you could say were "decent" when it actually came time to play. An exhibition game is about playing all of your players, and not getting the good ones hurt. Penn States starters probably played a total of 10 minutes the whole game. Im sure the opposing coach knew that and kept in his starters (who were probably better than psu's bench) so they could say they beat a D1 psu.


So yes, penn state basketball is horrible year in and year out, but we are actually rising with talor battle and some young kids that actually have a lot of talent. Pitt is getting back to where they should be in the big east, along with in the nation.
