At the Pitt passing camp, I, like DWG, heard that mcCort did terrible. FH and Richland played in the semi-final in one of the divisions with Richland winning but then losing to I believe Latrobe. Richland went 9-2, while FH went I think 7-3 or 6-3. A McCort staff member told me that he believes McCort went 2-5. 2 other local teams were at Pitt, North Star and Portage. Portage did worse than McCort, going winless the first day (0-5) and winning I think only 1 the 2nd day (fininshed 1-7). North Star did well, going 5-0 like Richland on day one but they never showed up to play on day 2. Some game info to note at Pitt from Coach Carter's "inside sources": FH beat Richland in their first match up on day 2 and lost to the Rams in the Semi's - Richland and FH both lost to Latrobe - FH beat a few WPIAL teams - Richland beat Woodland Hills, Berwick, Seneca Valley, and Oliver - Oliver eliminated McCort - Richland beat Portage, going up a quick 14-0 and then letting Their JV'ers play, source says final score was Rams 21 Portage 0.

JHS you are absolutely correct. There are some who really don't like the passing scrimmage. The "guru" of the West Coast Offense has spoken out against the concept at many of his clinics. He feels that it gives the QB a false sense of security while sitting in the pocket. It may be only a few tenths of a second that he learns to hold the ball longer than he should but those two tenths can be critical. That being said I feel that the scrimmages do a lot of good. It promotes teamwork, and allows the receivers to develop techniques as you stated.
