Are you Pitt fans ready to get a reality check?
Pitt's defense is decent at best. Are you ready for your reality check this weekend against Bowling Green? Tyler Sheehan is one of the most underrated players in the country and he leads one of the most underrated teams in the country. Pitt will win, but I hope you jerks are ready to come back down to earth.

Come back down to earth? I never left? I am as realistic a Pitt fan as you will find. I know what Pitt has in store for them this week. BG may be the best team in the MAC. They have very talented skill kids on offense. They run the spread which Pitt struggled against under Paul Rhoads except for the WVU game last year.
I am hoping that Bennett's philosopy will be better suited versus BG. I understand his defense is more aggressive than Rhoad's. We shall see on Saturday. With the studs that Pitt has on the defensive line, I hope Bennett is in press coverage more than Rhoads therefore not allowing BG to dink and dunk down the field.
Pitt's defensive line should give them the edge. The DL will have to dominate or the young secondary may be in for a long afternoon. The fact that Shane Murry may not play at OLB could hurt as well.
Offensively, I think Pitt will have their way with BG's defense. If Pitt's defense can string together a few 3-and-outs then Pitt could win by 14 or more. If BG controls the ball and keeps it out of the hands of Shady and Company, Pitt will be in for a dog fight.
My prediction:

BG's offense is all that; their 2007 team averaged 30.2 points per game and scored 30 or more in eight games but their OL gave up 32 sacks last year and 2 new tackles on that line....watch out!! Pitt's defense will be for real this year....the depth on the D line will be evident this game.
