In Joe Biden's 'acceptance' speech last week he immediately attacked the McCain's (on cue) about Cindy's wealth & fact they couldn't relate to the poor olde us' sitting 'round our kitchen tables struggling.....It is known that Cindy McCain was an heiress to one of Amheiser Busch's founders (she has lots of beer $).....When they got married in 1980 they made a prenuptial agreement that kept most of her family's assets under her name...fair enough to me!
I am surprised what little talk there is of Mrs Obama......she is not June Cleaver raising those two little girls, staying at home every day. She's worked. She's on leave/part time from a hospital job, University of Chicago Hospitals, $310,000 a year. More contentious still was Michelle's appointment as vice-president of external affairs at the University hospital in 2005. . It came only two months after Barack was sworn in as a U.S. senator, and was attacked by critics as a blatant attempt, critics’ claim, by the hospital's hierarchy to curry favour with her husband, in an era when some politicians want to rein in the vast profits of America's medical system. They questioned why the wife of a committed Democrat would work for a hospital that has been accused of ruthless greed. Michelle's image was further tarnished in May 2006, when it was revealed that the centre - despite earning some 50 million a year - had refused to treat a man who could not afford to pay his bill. He died.
She's from Harvard and Princeton. She served as a salaried board member of Tree House Foods, Inc. a major Wal-Mart supplier with whom she cut ties immediately after her husband made comments critical of Wal-Mart at an AFL-CIO forum in Trenton, New Jersey, on May 14, 2007. She serves on the board of directors of the Chicago Council on Global Affairs.
She says that she and Barack were born to parents of modest means, not with "silver spoons" in their mouths. Nobody knows the trouble they've seen. The burden of paying for her undergraduate education at Princeton and her law school education at Harvard has scarred her. It remains a motif of her stump speech. No one is accorded a chance to ask her if she thought about attending the University of Illinois, or if she's grateful for any of the financial assistance that facilitated her and her husband's attendance at the finest institutions of higher learning in the United States.
According to Obama's tax returns from 2000-2006, the Obamas have given far less to charity than John McCain has. In all but the two most recent years reported, the Obamas gave around 1% or less of their income to charity. Their contributions increased in 2005 and 2006 to 4.7% and 6.1% respectively, but still are far short of those of McCain who gave 28.6% in 2006 and 27.3% in 2007."

I have to say thank you to me ..." for not being stupid enough to go to Penn State."
