PSU QB Woes: Terror Level Burnt-Orange
Well, everyone was hoping 4-star QB Tate Forcier wouldn't commit to Michigan, but guess who committed to Michigan?
Let me explain this breakdown again. PSU targeted Tom Savage, Kevin Newsome, and Tate Forcier. Savage committed to Rutgers, Newsome committed to Michigan. PSU went after Jordan Love. Jordan Love committed to Florida. Forcier then committed to Michigan.
But, Newsome decommitted from the Wolverines and is now heavily favoring UNC. We might not want him anyways. The summer workout camps had Newsome looking a lot less stellar than previously thought.
I'm telling you... PSU will end up with this Shoop kid from Danville. He's already been saying he wants to go to Penn State. He has 1 offer, to Temple, and is a 2-star QB. Shoop is a prototypical PSU QB... decent arm and terrible decision making. I can't wait.

Guess who was up at Penn State last week on the sideline? That's right, Danville QB Andrew Shoop. When I read that, all I did was shake my head.
Then I found this, though. This was from a camp at Afron that was put on by Scout.com:
QB Andrew Shoop 6-2/195 Danville/PA
We saw Shoop on film and we really liked him in our early evaluation, but our biggest question was about the level of competition that he was facing. The speed of the game changes tremendously when you are playing on a team full of D-I athletes and Shoop adjusted just fine. He played seven games on Sunday and he got stronger as the day went on. Shoop was firing peas. He showed very good arm strength and accuracy. He took the team and led them to a championship appearance. Shoop is a definite D-I QB prospect whose stock should increase dramatically.
Well, maybe he's not as bad as I thought.
