I think Heights does have a chance tonight! Get after Brown, run the ball, and play some D and who knows??

Ithink not letting kids play because they did not do the reading over the summer is great . teach theese kids that sports is not what school is all about.

I agree mm but your comment should read "REQUIRED reading". This kid knew what was required and didn't follow the requirements. So he had to sit a game. In the long run, learning the lesson that not following rules has consequences will help him.

Heights didn't have a chance..Chris Brown and Eugene did whatever they wanted last night and the D stopped Priester all night long. which wasn't very hard because Heights Ran about 10 different plays and all were predictable. and they didn't run any quick pass plays and left Vescovi out to dry who didn't even take a snap in the second half!..Myers should have gotten his confidence back a little bit and did some easy pass plays to make him feel better..I'm sure his confidence is through the roof, after they let Stanek (a senior) run against the BG JV at QB..... BG dominated!

bg was a very superior team and that loss should really open heights eyes to see where they stand in the lhac. But i do have one question, who kicks an onside kick up 33-0? In my mind that just shows poor sportsmanship

I dont think that was intentional but if it was then it was just showing how there wasn't much thought put in the Heights Kick Return because they were back wayyy to far and it was an easy recovery.

However i see what you mean rd75 but my point of the statements is just saying how Myers didn't have his head on right Sat night and didn't Help Vescovi or the Wide outs out by putting Stanek in towards the end against the JV... no point...but BG might have tried to rub it in at the end..

"It's their job to score, its our job to stop them"
-cant remember where i heard it, but it was from a LOSING coach after a lopsided loss.

Special teams is one way to get back into a game. No way am I kicking it deep and letting return guys (esp Priester) get a quick score. Onsides kick? Eh, risky if you dont get it, but if the cookie is on the plate...

Plus, if Im on the losing team, obviously im looking to get better. Having holes in your special teams exploited (and not making a difference on the game's outcome) isnt such a bad thing!
