For all you people who know more than us about PSU
From the transcript
How did it work when you were up there?
Actually, I have more input when I'm up there than when I'm downstairs because I got a microphone where I can push 1 and it's the offense, I push 2, a button, and it's the defense. Plus, I'm sitting here and the offensive coaches are here and the defensive coaches are there. So, when it's a timeout or something like that, I'll say, get down to Tom, get down to Mike McQueary. I wouldn't want Mike to go through the game without me chewing him out at least a couple of times.

Are you serious, TAE? JoePa does what he gets paid to do. I am impressed. I know this is in response to what has been said in another topic, but I hope you aren't trying to crown a guy for doing his job. I only made a topic on here because I like it a lot more when JoePa is on the sideline yelling at his assistants and they completely tune him out.

Re: For all you people who know more than us about PSU
I know. Are you expecting him to say he isn't doing anything? That is what I am trying to say. I have asked you before whether you thought he coached the team. You said that he did and I never disagreed. You guys see them a lot more than I do. I don't doubt one bit that he is coaching the team. I was just saying I like it more when he's on the sidelines. His assistants do appear to tune him out on the sidelines. I find that comical. None of that should have happened to this point in the season, since they have dominated their opponents, but it will come soon. Maybe even this weekend.

In other threads people were saying Paterno has no say in anything, which is ridiculous.

I cant believe I was so blind. I wish the rest of the nit wit haters would see it too! Cant you see that the jokester REALLY is involved with coaching this team?
A) He kicks a ball of a tee in practice.
B) He screams and yells at Big Red and Bradley a few times a game.
C) He stood motionless during the 2nd half of the Syracuse game.
D) He sits in the press box and pushes buttons and tell his guys to get Mike or get Tom.
E) He moves most of his university office to his home and "works" mostly out of his home.
F) Is losing a handle on discipline with his players.
Let's hope, for all you nit wit fans out there, Wisconsin's coach doesn't pull that trick play out of his hat (Like he did a year or two ago - can't remember exactly) and get the old geriatric coach (who is so involved in the game planning and coaching) off guard! Boy, now that is proof that a dinosaur is coaching your team! That is really something to be proud of!!
