i may be biased on this one but PC-CC in the 05-06 season when CC went up 20-0 with less than 2 minutes left in the half PC scored going into half and ended up pulling out the win having to stop CC in the redzone

BC vs Cameron Cty was great you had speed vs size , bad weather, state playoffs, OT, and a BC win. Those were the days. Runner-up FH vs the Quips. I never seen so much talent on one field a football fans dream.

:wink: Don't remember the year but.......the Westmont/ McCort playoff game. Westmont beat McCort in regular season and also entered the game undefeated. McCort made some gutsy calls deep in their own territory rather than punting the ball. The game went into overtime. McCort scored and kicked the extra point. Westmont scored and went for 2. McCort stopped their QB on the 6 inch line.

It was 1995. Temperature during the game was like sub-zero with the windchill. At Richland's football field before all the new renovations. Chris Locher was Westy's QB. McCort's QB was Rashan Puryear. Westy indeed was undefeated. BM lost the week before 35-21 at FH.

1995 season

NBC vs Mo Valley

NB was trailing late in the game (I think under a minute left). The game was low scoring and these two were excellent teams. Although Ferndale won D6 that year, Mo was probably the top D6 team and NB the best in D5. Travis Brown scored the game winning touchdown on a run to the right from something like 12 yards out??? This was the year NB went 11-2. They lost the opener to Everett, then won 11 straight.

I've also heard a game in the 70s pitting NB vs TM at Manstion Park was unreal. I believe the final score of that one was 7-6 NBC.

I was a youngster, but I remember Fred Glagow breaking the hearts of the Titan fans with a late touchdown. Also the Tussey game at Juniata Valley with a packed house with Buck Black the QB. Don't remember alot of details, but I remember the atmosphere was electrric even during the daylight!!

My top 5
5. Tyrone vs. Seton-LaSalle '04 - wasn't close but Tyrone was to be just a "speed bump " on coach Serras' boys road to Hershey.....Bill Stull may be starting for Pitt , but I'd bet he's still having nightmares about Terry Tate and Tyler Hoover(7 sacks,19tackles,1 int, 2 fumbles between the 2) final 28-7.
4.Tyrone 24 vs Sharon 7-1999 - Tyrone pasted a team that started 7 d1 recruits including QB Schneider(Duke starter),Carmone Parchman(Miami,Fla-track),Terrance Phillips(PSU),and Marlon Jackson(Indy- Colts)
3. Tyrone 14 Alliquippa 13- 1996-rallied from 13-0 at half;
2. Tyrone 28- State College -0 1968 - Nationally ranked in the top 3 State college boasted a pair of All-Americans in the Shueys; found themselves down by 3 scores early in the 2nd quarter.
1. Tyrone 13 Mt Carmel 6 - 1999- Central Pa's only title to date--- largest crowd to ever watch a title game in any classification up until a couple years ago.

1987. TM ruined Juniata Valley's perfect season in the final game of the regular season.

Also the TM/ NBC playoff game in 05.

The '73 TM and NB Playoff game at Mansion Park. The teams tied in their regular season game and TM led 6-0 until Joe Wachter hit Norman Dick with a TD pass from about 15-20 yds. out with :18 remaining and then Wachter kicked the PAT for the 7-6 win. I just watched the film of that game last week as I am prepping to honor NB's first undefeated team, that '73 squad, here on Oct. 10, 35 years removed from their remarkable season.

People always talk the Nastasi brothers when they talk NB football but many who can remember will tell you that Fred Glasgow was probably the greatest HS player in NB and Bedford County history. He was a Parade All-American and held 3 state records when he graduated. Most yards rushing in a game, season, and career. He is on PA Football News All-Time team, the only Bedford County player to be honored in that way.

You leave off an excellent game in the 2OT loss to sharon in 2000 in which many of these recruits were still playing.
