Clearly there are other aspects that come into play such as the pass rush, which can come from just the down lineman or bring backers from time to time. No one at any level "just relies on DBs." Rerouting by linebackers plays a huge rule as does their ability to run sideline to sideline and defend the RBs. I dont care what level your playing DBs can only cover for a few seconds.

What the heck is travo01's problem? Back to the hate again when he can't defend what he says? HE brought up the FH-BM scrimmage and gave everyone the wrong info about it. Then calls the correction HATE? Then travo01 had to get in his dig about the 60-0 FH win. I noticed he didn't say anything about Conemaugh Twp beating Ferndale 56-0 last night. Hey, at least FH and CT didn't try an onsides kick late in the game when their opponent was being slaughtered. Crimson09Crazy also had to chime in about the FH-BM scrimmage. Yes, the score was 2-1 in favor of FH. Good thing Salem begged to play one more series when everyone else wanted to call it a night. Guess he had to save face. And again DWG, I DID NOT bring up the scrimmage. Travo01 brought it up and gave erroneous info. He just needed to be corrected. I mean if you're gonna say something on here, at least make it true.

Lowry vs. Ridgely isn't even a contest. Ridgely is smaller, less physical, less talented on both sides of the ball. He is in no way as strong as Lowry, and oh yeah btw.. McCort has 7, YES SEVEN, backs (Lowry, Wadley, Seidel, James, Mcaneny, Reynolds, Merriman) that would all start in the CC backfield(which Ridgely doesn't even start in). So as far as him being as a good runner.. congrats but hes nowhere near the top in the LH. The kid may be a good athlete but i haven't seen him do anything near what Mr. Lowry has done on the football field for the past 3 seasons. [IMO though I'd build my team around a 2-way lineman(Rugg, Greene, Istanich, McCarty; or a QB (Glessner, Brown)]

I would agree with DWG, bad teams find a way to lose, good teams find a way to win. For some reason watching this game you couldn't help but feel like McCort would either find a way to win or Richland would find a way to lose when it was 34-31, and it was a combination of both. Another thing to point out though DWG, just because McCort had trouble with Richland, it doesn't mean FH will. They actually match up much better with a balanced offense and a defense who can rush the passer a lot better than McCort from what I've seen. They may not have as many good athletes in the secondary.

Moldo, I was not the first one to bring up the scrimmage thing. Your boy Patsy was and my comment was meant for him. However, I do have a question for you. How do you know Salem begged for another series in that scrimmage. Were you on the field with Don and Ken when the discussion went on? I was in the stands and I saw nothing that showed Coach Salem begging fo something..

Also, if you have read my past post, which you obviously do, I said I was dissapointed in McCort's secondary all year; especially after the BG game. They need much work on that part of the "D".

I will apologize for the 60-0 FH win remark. It's not fair to tell your JV lay down and games can and do get out of hand quickly. And I set myself up for the Salem onsides kick remark!!

Other than that, I just got back from last night's white out.. They place was impressive and so were the Lions... It's great to see PSU, Alabama and Oklahoma all back again...

One more thought on Friday's game. I know injuries are an unfortunate part of the game, but the Crushers were lucky Nate Adams didn't play. Another match up Bailey would of loved to have against McCorts secondary!!

You Richlanders will hang on to w/e you can. Part of being a good football team is depth at all positions (including QB). BM is a running team and thier deepest position is at RB. If you are a passing team, you better have a quality back up QB and go 4-5 deep with Wrs. If Adams did play, he would have just taken away from someone elses productivity and the result would have been the same. Richland lost that game the moment they couldnt stop the run.

Ripple and Lowery stole the show for the night. It was two of the best players in the league making play after play. I've never seen a wr to be able to take over a game like Ripple. To draw a complete double team with the safety stacked opens everything up for the rest of the team. I'm disappointed that Richland doesn't get him the ball other ways in the offense. But in the end Lowery topped it all off making huge plays in the 4th quarter
