Re: LHAC Rankings after the 1st half of season
It pains me to say it, but i have to put my money on portage in the playoffs. I don't think there's a single A team in the area that is going to even smell gary's squad this year.in my opinion a westpac team cannot compete with the laurel highlands...now maybe in playoffs i will be proven wrong
It's better to keep your mouth shut and let people think you're stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.

Bison, don't put any money on Portage or it will pain you even more (LOL).

I for one am not worried about the WestPac at this time. But would love to see Portage at a later date though
This is an LHAC board. Talking about the best teams in this league on here. Playoffs are 5 weeks away boys. Lets keep it to the regular season

sorry but thats my opinion..yes portage has a good running game but to beat a team like bg or bm they are going to need way more than that

midseason MVP Lowry, doesnt get that many carriers but does it all for the crushers. He will be a workhorse when the chips are down. Most improved is FH they seem polished and have been impressive in many games (jtown was a scare) also showed they could hang with the class of the district in mccort. Biggest disappoint surprise surpirse westmont, I hope they turn it around for the second half and these kids start to believe.

Have to disagree with you on the MVP being Lowry. Even though everyone knows he is a good football player one of the best in the conference but, lets face it though in every sport the MVP goes to the kid with the best stats and is on a relatively good team (ex. makes the playoffs as such). Im not saying he won't be at the end of the year but rigt now the stats aren't there for him to be MVP.

I think he was a 20td guy last year 1000+ rusher so he can put up stats when asked to. He is there leading reciever maybe even leading rusher returns punts and kicks and will win 3 district titles. Also is a good DB who makes big hits and ints. Who is your midseason MVP?

This isn;t a question of what the kid did last year althouh he did a good job. But by the stats so far this year I don;t think he deserves it right now.

Right now I would definately pick Mehall over him or how about the Ramirez kid from RH. Im sure Lowry knows him after last week.
