Re: LHAC Rankings after the 1st half of season
Key word in my post was being CHASED down. Before the Builfoyle game I don't think Mehall had over 150 yards and them three from BM probably had 700(just guessing). So yes he is chasing them down at the moment. But it was a HAHA joke between an FH fan and BM fans lets not take this out of propportion fellas.

Re: LHAC Rankings after the 1st half of season
It's amazing how FH doesn't even play BM this year but the rivalry keeps going and all posts somehow end up FH vs. BM. The fact of the matter is both of these teams are doing favors to the other by knocking everyone else off in their section, their schedule, and their classification! Where is the love!?
Ramirez has to be the MVP. Without him richland would be where everyone predicted them to be. So far he has played the hardest schedule and still has insane stats, while Lowry has played Somerset and Heights, and Mehall has played Somerset, Heights, and Bedford. My point is a midseason MVP is hard to say when people haven't played the same competition. All 3 are impressive players.

I disagree with the Ramierez MVP theory. I more so think he is a product of the system itself and the athletic recievers (along with some bad defensive gameplans agains the spread). If the QB was the backup Sylvia, I doubt the stats or outcomes would be much different at all.

Here you go FH fans.....
ERIC LOWRY > SCOTT MEHALL
Simple Reasons....And I can't believe I'm saying this because I hate McCort!
Scott Mehall doesn't make his presence felt like Lowry does on both sides of the ball. Lowry seems to just want the pigskin in the big games, while Mehall hasn't proved anything running all over Somerset and Cambria Heights. CC will load the box and Mehall will not be noticed on Friday night. CC has a good enough D to shut Mehall down and I believe that is exactly what will happen. Lowry just seems to always be getting the late TDs that are the differences in all their big wins this year. He is by far the better player. No questions!
QUICK RECAP...
Scott Mehall in big games? Non-existant.
Eric Lowry in big games? STUD

BG widely considered to be the THIRD best team in the LHAC this year. Coming into the FH game BG challenged BM to a great game final score 38 or 39-35.
Now I don't know about you but I would consider this a big game son.
Mehalls Stats
25 carries 250 yards
2 receptions 25 yards
3 TOUCHDOWNS
Please bchusky if you dont know please dont post
Quick Recap
Don't post your knowledge is harmful to the youth of bleachercoaches

i go to mccort, but you got to give the mvp to ramires. i was on his baseball team this summer and he is a very humble and quiet man with talent that he doesnt brag about

Re: LHAC Rankings after the 1st half of season
Mehall also scored the game winning td in OT on a 10 yard run against Johnstown. Other than that it's kind of hard for him to be anything but "non-existant" in the 4th quarter because the FH starters have been on the bench in the 4th every game except that one. By all means make a case for Lowry, and your case may be that he shows up big when it counts... but if you are gonna dig at a kid atleast make sure you have somewhat of a clue what you are talking about. My opinion is you can't go wrong with either of the two, and they are easily the top 2 all-around runningbacks in the LH. If CC does stack the box to stop Mehall, I'm sure Bailey and Glessner will be more than happy to pass.
Re: LHAC Rankings after the 1st half of season
Sorry to change things up on all the Crimson and Ranger Crazies, but my MVP so far this year goes to Westy's Kecklack...Doesn't have the supporting cast of either Mehall or Lowery, this kid plays hard all the time on both sides of the ball..Regardless win or lose this Saturday, watch how hard the kid plays!!
I'm also hearing Seidel is healthy again after 2 weeks of no offense.. What does that do to the Lowery and Wadley show?
I'm looking for a closer game than most people think on Saturday.. Back in the day, this was the biggest rivalry game of the year!!

Re: LHAC Rankings after the 1st half of season
True kecklack has played very well and extremely hard and deserves recognition for that but we are talking MVP, without Kecklack WH is probably still 1-4, maybe 0-5 but that's not much of a drop off. Lately McCort vs. Johnstown and WH are always said to be close, but BM has blown them out. McCort being the best rushing team and WH being very bad vs. the run doesn't help. I'm gonna say BM wins by atleast 20.

Don't agree with you much patty, but I hope you're right about the twenty...
