Re: SCORES WEEK SEVEN
That outstanding receiver that made one Hell of a catch was Matt Glenn. He has been a play maker for PC all season just doesn't get the publicity that Newton gets. I agree Amused chatter, if you give the ball to a player like Newton as many times as Fetzer does, of course he will have lots of yards. There is so many more talented players on the PC team that doesn't get any credit or the ball for that matter. You have to use what you have and unfortunately this isn't happening at PC. One player does not make a team.

The OG strongly disagrees with both of you. At the HS level, especially when you team is AA size (generally all teams in this area) you have to get your best players the ball as many times as possible. It is a rare occurrence when a team this size has several “go to guys”. When you do have several and you in a decent program, you usually win a championship. PC is not that team. If you think PC has all of these playmakers you are someone’s dad on this team. This team had two playmakers...Newton and Glenn. Getting the ball into Newton's hands opens things up for the other kids on the team because they are focusing on Newton and Glenn so much. Did you notice what adjustment FH made in the second half to Glenn? They put a safety over the top of him. Where were these other "playmakers" making plays when they had one-on-one coverage? They weren't...which means they aren’t the big game breaker type!AmusedChatter wrote:All in all the Newton kid lookslike a horse in the backfield. Fetzer loves those backs kid looked exactly like Holsberger did. Actually looked lik a fullback to me same buid as the Eugene kid from BG. I toally disagree with the offense of this team though. I can see why this kid has so many yards they almost give him he ball every play. I stated this earlier on this site you will not get anywhere with a one man offense.
Besides that, you are arguing with a Coach’s system (Fetzer) who is one of the most respected and successful coaches in the area. Not many guys can say they've gone to two places and turned both programs into a conference power. Coach Fetzer can...and to argue with his system is nonsense.
And the last thing I must tell you...NEVER QUIT!
