It would be interesting to have the dark horse win, but in my opinion, it wont happen.

the reason white might not get the heisman is exactly the same reason as he would have gotten it before his subpar performance (if you understand me). He plays qb, and his position is magnified the most, where a receiver can sometimes make an unnoticed mistake, not that fitzgerald does, but he could and would still get the heisman. just like he is going to this year

Tonight on sportscenter, they had the top ten reasons fitsgerald should get the heisman..they're doing this for all the top runners for the heisman. But after watching their top ten "reasons" why he should get it, that kid is just amazing. He has Big East records in TD receptions, yards, catches...he's just plain good. This is also his second straight season with over 1,000 yds. receiving...and he's only a sophomore! No sophomore slump for that guy. he's the best player in college football no doubt and he should get it.

The majority of the ballots were sent in before White had his "sub-par" performance, but he had 1 bad game all season. LF didn't exactly light the world on fire against Miami when he had 28 yards recieving. White will get it, accept it and move on.

The person most deserving doesnt win the Heisman...Can anyone say Larry Johnson? Thats why the race is wide open, I'm callin matt leinhart to win it as compensation for USC not bein in the National championship game.

I agree with whiteshoes. If this site was up last year, everyone would be saying these things about Larry. Even after he won the Maxwell, people thought he'd be more of a lock. But no, they go for the Cali boy who's doing so well for the Bengals now. This race is anyone's guess.

Before you know it, controversy will be stirred up about the Heisman like the BCS has it's share of problems...at least at the moment the Heisman winner isn't computer generated.

I hope a Larry doesn't get the shaft this year just like last year... Larry Fitzgerald should w/out a doubt win the Heisman.

LJ won every player of the year award except the Heisman. He took home the Walter Camp(Top offensive player), Maxwell(Top overall player), and Doak Walker(Top RB) and still didn't get the Heisman, it was sad.
