I'm going to have to come home for the windber/berlin matchup (assuming berlin doesn't beat portage). Close game last week, but I thought windber shouldn't have won it.

yeah but thats what you get when u always head up to windber. officials are always for them. i dont know now though if berlin can put up a fight against them unless their aerial attack works because berlin's top running back (ian sayler) is done for the year and all they have to do now is spy on one kid.

just a thought: since it was a tough game for windber against berlin, would they sit their starters to let meyersdale make the playoffs? knowing windber though i could see that happening. agree?

I cant even believe someone would suggest a team would lose on purpose. that is absurd. I dont really think the berlin windber game was as close as some are indicating. windber dominated statistically. so as i see it berlin was lucky for the final score to be that close. 3-6 getting into the playoffs is a joke not only that it would be topped off by a 3 game losing streak going into the playoffs.

i think d-5 needs to reevaluate.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say Windber had a really really bad night. I assure you, the game was in favor of Berlin until they handed it over in the fourth quarter. 3-6 should not make the playoffs, but I would bet that if the rematch would happen, quite possible could go the other way. I don't see Windber making it out of the first round unless they get one of those match-ups (judging by that one game).

Losses to North Star, Conemaugh Township, Blacklick Valley, Windber, and Chestnut Ridge. For the tiny schools in the deep south, that's a pretty tough schedule. I'd say they're the best 3 win candidate in d5, and either way, they're in.

Were any preseason scrimmages between Bedford and Somerset County schools? How do the best of the west stack up against the ICC? Coach?

They aren't in for sure...

If Meyersdale and TM win then Berlin is not in.

Rockwood, Mey, TM, Berlin all have 3. Any that get to 4 are IN.

I know Tussey scrimmaged Portage, NBC scrimmaged Shade, and I'm not sure of any other earlier meetings.

My bad...I assumed that those records weren't going to change after the last game, but you are right.

I'd have to say CT is the best team coming out of the western half of the district.

These are for sure now...

1. Eve bye
2. NB (bye pending only 6 teams making it in)
3. Win/CT (waiting on scores)
4. Win/CT (waiting on scores)
5. TM (I think--- Mey could sneak by them if they win and then Mey would need help from teams they beat---95% sure it is TM)
6. ??? If Mey would beat Windber they might have enough wins by opponents to pass TM. I'll have to check. Berlin would get in if the 3 westpac schools lose.
