Talked with an old friend of Joe Jones today. He recently gave up selling insurance after a few years, and resumed teaching and coaching @ a new school district in the Suffolk Va. area. Of course, anyone at BM can ask Coach John Jones what lil bro is doing.

Hows the fishing in Ben's Creek as of late.

BTW, Some of the creeks around here are just lazily named. Ben's Creek, Bob's Creek, i even know of a creek, simply known as Creek. it was on the State topo map

We gotta watch we dont trash on players by name, but there's names on that list that are ridiculous.

Theres a bunch of people that didn't play the positions he has them at. But a pretty good list overall.

Obviously there is going to be some variations on this list, and most are going to be biased on:
A) What team they or their son played on
B) The team they grew up watching

There were a lot of good players in the early 90's when FH dominated the D6 scene. But I also think some of those players benefitted from FH being ahead of the coaching curve. Since then I think some other pretty good staffs have been assembled (not saying FH has declined), so that has changed. I also think the type of player in Green and Gold has changed a bit. Some players also benefitted or were held back in a sense because of their supporting cast. These types of things are always tough to do because you are talking about people playing generations apart and teams apart.

IMO whether you were a 3 year starter, member of a LHAC championship team, or a member of a D6 championship team, you had to be a pretty good player. That's the OG's team...any player who Sported the Green and Gold and played it the right way. From Bill Matsko to Colin Gdula...I'd take any of them to line up beside me any Friday night in Sidman.
And the last thing I must tell you...NEVER QUIT!

Well said and I agree! Pride and Poise is the way it is around Ranger Country. Tradition is a big part of the overall, year to year success at FH. Generation after generation.

Denver Brydon was a pretty good punter; but IMHO, Matt Danel gets the vote. Someone can probably attest to their averages, but Danel punted for IUP for 4 years, over 40+ average. BTW- IMHO, his senior year was the FH team with the greatest potential, that never happened due to the McCort "D" hi-low sack in the mud.

Definitely Danel as punter, no question.
