How come I never got recruited? I feel left out.

Re: BACK TO BACK TO BACK
This recruiting topic has gotten way out of hand. Look I played for McCort a few years back and know most of the staff and administrators. I have never, not once, heard of any one of them recruiting a student athlete from another school district. Every instance that has been brought up on here were simply cases of the parents looking for the best possibility to secure a bright future for their child. The staff at McCort obviously want to increase enrollment, and you can see their "recruiting" efforts on billboards around town. They do not target individuals based on athletic prowess or any other skill one may possess. They believe in Catholic education and offer financial aid to families that qualify. This is offered to all that are interested, certainly not only football players. I can speak from experience that education is THE number one priority at McCort...bottom line.
As far as it being an unfair advantage in the classification system you McCort haters have a point. But rules are rules and McCort has done nothing outside of them. Why is it so wrong to give the players an opportunity to advance as far as possible? Clearly they were outmatched in the state playoffs over the past few years, and they were playing against schools with enrollment nearly twice the size of their own. The players at McCort (or at least when I played) were not concerned with what classification we were, just playing to the best of our ability. Class size doesn't matter in the LHAC and McCort has been able to have a good run against A AA and AAA schools recently. Instead of recognizing the work that these kids put in to succeed everyone on here seems to be happy complaining about the "unfair" advantage McCort has. Well if you wanted to say they were AAA this year, they still would be 9-0 and conference champions.
As it is, McCort is A and in position to make a run at the district title and perhaps beyond. My advice to you haters out there is that you swallow your pride and acknowledge the fact McCort has a good team-regardless of where the kids came from. Hopefully the area will have a representative deep in the state playoffs, and from where I'm sitting it looks like McCort has the best chance. So maybe everyone on this site can start focusing on some positives instead of trying to minimize everything our local rivals accomplish by blaming one thing or the other. I for one (and I would like to think I represent the majority of McCort alum and current students) always pull for our area teams in the playoffs, and if any one of them had a chance to drop in classification in order to advance further in the playoffs, I would be fully supportive.
