Re: LHAC Heisman
************IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER **********
1. Chris Brown QB/CB Bishop Guilfoyle - (104 - 190 1,444 yds passing 10 tds) (7 rushing Tds) ( 25 tackles 5 ints and two returned for TDs) more known for QB but potentialy best corner in LHAC. Natural playmaker from the QB position. Huge Arm.
2. Eric Lowry RB/DB Bishop Mccort - ( 127 attempts for 752 yds 5.9 avg 12 tds) (21 receptions for 394 yds 4tds) ( 10 punt and kick returns for 214 and 2 tds) ( 35 tackles and 4 ints) potentialy best all around player in LHAC. great hands for RB. Huge threat on special teams.
3. Zak Newton RB/DB Penn Cambria - ( 215 attempts for 1562 yds 7.2 avg 15tds) ( 12 for 31 passing 209 yds and 4 tds) ( 80 tackles 2 sacks) has most rush yards in LHAC. Big Hard runner. very tough.
4. Scott Mehall RB Forest hills - ( 126 attempts for 1167 yds and 17 tds 9.2 avg) (16 receptions for 297 yds 1 td) ( 10 returns for 209 yds) does not play defense but more then makes up for it in yards per carry average. highest YPC average out of starting backs in LHAC. quick and shifty but can run hard when needed.
5. Tim Ripple WR/DB Richland ( 50 receptions for 900 yards 10 tds) ( 30 kick and punt returns for 370 yds) ( 37 tackles and 4 ints) Most recieving yards in LHAC. Sure handed. Big play threat. lock down defensive back
Honorable mention- Tj Keklak WH not enough yard production and team success hurt him, Gino Ramirez Richland most passing yards in LHAC but does not play defense, Andrew O Saben CC just missed the list not enough all around yardage he was behind mehall lowry and newton in all purpose yards but still great RB, Jeremy Priester CH - a star surrounded by bums, Quadir Christian Jtown - Not enough all purpose yards, Andrew passonetti BG - second in every category to ripple, Chase dykstra Somerset, cody shippey Bedford, Brendan Julock BC

Great list! Put it in order and let the debate begin!
Personally I think Mehall is the MVP of the league. His stats say it all. Not sure what happened in the CC game, but the other 8 he was awesome!

Re: LHAC Heisman
Dont you think thats a little harsh, I mean come on they only won 1 game this year when most people said they could get at least 2 or 3, but I don't think you can call anyone in the LHAC bums. I mean you'd have to admit that in conferences like the Heritage or WestPAC the Heights could win 7+ games a year and being a legit team to make the playoffs each year. I say that because if you look at the last time they played NC in that "Coal Bowl" they have, they beat them 44-0. Plus, if their line shapes up i could see them getting 5,6, or 7 wins in the LHAC in a few years because line play is obviously their weakness due the fact that the line is extremely small and probably weak. I don't really want to rant but i don't think you can call them bums.jgreen6578 wrote:Jeremy Priester CH - a star surrounded by bums,

That's a nice list jgreen. Should have made it a poll question and let the people of bleachercoaches decide!
Re: LHAC Heisman
Ah I couldn't help myself so I went ahead and used my moderator powers to make this into a poll using the players on jg's list. The poll will run 7 days and you can change your pick at any time.

JGreen, Mehall also has a touchdown on a punt return but other then that your stats seem right for everyone else.

Re: LHAC Heisman
I had to go with Mehall on this one.....just too good of an average for his YPC, plus he has less carries and more TDs than Newton

Re: LHAC Heisman
thank you everyone haha, no harm meant on the CH remark, i knwo they would do well in any other conference but i was just reaching the end of my very lonnng and time consuming post so i didnt really feel like going on the rant that you went on haha. but its a tough call for me i say probably mehall liek everyone else said his stats say it all and a 9.2 ypc are you serious that so sick. but honestly i put brown at second not just because i am biased, but look at what he has done with so little. to put up those type of numbers with that line and not nearly as many weapons as he had last year is a true accomplishment. plus he is a lockdown corner. then i would have to go newton followed by lowry. someone else said it best i think lowry is one of the best players in the league but take him out of the mccort line up and they still go undefeated. he jsut doesnt have the numbers to keep up with the other stud players. sadly i have to put ripple last. dont get me wrong he deserves to be a finalist with his numbers on offense and defense and probably the best reciever in the league but you have to but up some real insane recieving yards and its just hard to bring the coveted LHAC heisman home as a wide reciever .
