Colt McCoy threw an interception for a touchdown. After an awful holding call, that's when that happened. I don't make excuses for losses, though. Go back and watch the hold on Orakpo that might cost him the season and hurt his NFL status that wasn't called. You can blame it on Mack "Clown", too. He could've ran the clock out and scored a TD with little time remaining. He could've started Fozzy over Ogbonnaya, whom was hurt. He could've released that Quan was hurt and let Malcolm Williams start. There's many things that could have happened or should've happened. It doesn't matter. What happened did happen. Texas Tech was better than Texas. They deserved the win. It's a team loss. If you want more reasons why it's a team loss, just ask. I saw about 3,320 mistakes in that game and they still almost won. That's why they're still ranked 4th in the BCS.

That's exactly the point as to why people are mad that Tech jumped those teams. Mike Leach can't get out of his own way. They should have lost that game to Texas. They lucked out at the end, deliverance. Even with the amount of mistakes you say they made, they still should have won that game. Leach did exactly what he always does. Only difference this time is that Crabtree was strong enough and smart enough to get into the endzone. How many other receivers are smart enough or strong enough to do that? None, right now. Texas is a lot better than Texas Tech. So is Alabama, Oklahoma, Florida, and Penn State.

The sad thing about all of this is that I like Texas Tech. I like that offense, and I like Mike Leach. But the Texas Tech teams I like are the ones who blowout Norfolk State and Delaware and then lose every meaningful game on the schedule. They got lucky Saturday.

Who's mad they jumped those teams? Beat #1 in a helluva game and you should jump. And considering the early loss factor, I think if Texas finishes w/ one loss they should play for national title.....likewise Fla. already dogged LSU & Geo. If they run table & win SEC Title game, much more deserving than UPS coming out of a terribly weak big 11.

Yes. Losing at home to a 4-5 team definitely shows that you're national title material. Are you kidding me? If this was Penn State or Pitt that lose one game to a 4-5 team and won every other game, they'd be in the top 20 and no higher. Doesn't matter if the Big10 was a powerhouse this year or not.

Texas Tech ACTIVELY scheduled TWO I-AA teams. Who the hell have they played besides Texas? Texas Tech should have been ranked about 15th going into that game. You just rewarded a team who went out of their way to schedule two I-AA teams. Once again: What is keeping people from doing this in the future if Texas Tech gets a title bid? I don't wanna hear about how great the Big XII is. There is a DIVISION in the Big XII that is good, not a whole conference. And they don't play much defense in the midwest.

5 years ago ESPN had no rights for Nascar races and they in turn did not even put the races on sportscenter, at all. They would talk about how no one watches Nascar and it was a dying sport. Fast forward to today and they scroll race updates on the bottomline while the race is in progress and it is the lead on Sportscenter nearly every Monday morning.

Idiot voters are the reason why the system sucks. It isn't the concept of the BCS, its the retarded people who vote. Because a-holes get in front of their TV and hear a-holes like Bob Davie say "there's 49 teams better than Alabama, 89 better than penn State, Notre Dame is a top 5 team, etc..."

All Bob Davie did was take the most prestigious football program EVER and drive it straight in to the dirt. Yeah, give him all your trust. Barry Switzer gets on TV: "5 teams better than Penn State." Also said "Penn State's offense isn't any good" You know why? Because dumb-a Paterno talked all that crap on Switzer 75 years ago. Barry Switzer hates Joe Paterno.

Penn State has a bye week and they went from "Wow, this team is really good" to "Ya know what? Penn State blows". Florida loses to an unranked team who now has 4 losses: "hard fought loss". Alabama beats a garbage UK by 4 points: "hard fought win". PSU beats 9th ranked Ohio State in Columbus: "Ya know what? Big Ten sucks."

The only way to settle this, and to get rid of the crap these so-called experts spew, is to have a playoff system in place. That will overcome idiots saying stupid things, and then MORE idiots believing it and VOTING. You are hurting teams, not helping them. That doesn't just go for Penn State.

Answer: 2. One is tied for 1st in the Pac10 and owns the tiebreaker over USC.

TT's best OOC W was a stunning win over Nevada. 4-4 and sitting in 6th in the WAC.
