As far as not being able to blame Bush any longer..... I think we'll still have plenty of opportunities to blame him for problems even though he is no longer in office. After all, Clinton is still being blamed for various problems. I even read one message board where he was being blamed for the housing crisis.

I actually saw it last night but thought it was funny. Just think if it was the other way around? My God the Rove/Bush conspiracy trying to disenfranchise minority voter.......oh

Funny how when Dems win there no fraud or problems, everything is peachy, the sun is brighter, and watch the economy will be better too.

Name one MSM outlet blaming Clinton for anything that went wrong? And not AM radio but supposedly unbiased news organizations. But they'll still be blaming Bush a century from now.

Manufacturing sector in general is in the tank and sinking but guns sales and ammo are going out of sight! Wonder why?

Obama can surely take credit for that one little bright spot in the economy.

Not to burst your bubble OAR, but the Clinton admin had their hand in this housing trouble. The admin believed it was every American's right to own a home. They 'suggested' to Fannie and Freddie that they needed to do more to service minority and low income families, even though it is already in their charter to do something like 20% of their loans to these groups. So in order to meet this 'suggestion', they had to take on more risk. Over time this risk grew, pushed along by deregulation, stupid borrowers, and greedy lenders. Throw in some panic and there you go.

It will be interesting where it goes from here. They will need to be either a completely private or public company. The hybrid model doesn't work. You can't please the gov't and shareholders.

This election truly did not have anything to do with race, positions, policies, values, or whom the VP choice was. It was obvious to me that the majority of the voters were much more concerned about getting back at George Bush than about anything else, including qualifications for the position.

After watching the results come in last night, I realized the only thing that truly mattered in this election to win, is simply be a Democrat. It seemed as though, as long as you were running as a Democrat, you could be green and from the planet Uranus, and would have won. Bush's 28% approval rating, unfortunately and unjustly meant doom for any Republican nominee.
